Yin Yu dug his fingers deep into the sand, grasping nothing. He felt the dread wash over him. “What,” he rasped.
“This… thing that’s growing in you,” He Xuan said, voice level once more, “it’s feeding off of your fear, your unwillingness to say what you’re feeling.”

Just as the pain in the ass boyfriend in question was about to speak, the bane of Yin Yu's current existence sat down. The group of friends stared at the uninvited guest. He Xuan looked away clicking his tongue while Xie Lian and Shi Qingxuan seemed delighted, Hua Cheng looked as if every vein in his body was about to burst if he didn't laugh.
"Quan Yizhen what are you doing here?" Yn Yu asked absolutely dumbfounded that he would sit in the middle of friends who don't know him from Adam.
"Waiting for you to finish eating so I can ask you out again".
