Summary
Ryland Grace saved the earth about 30 years ago; For him, it's only felt like 8. Time works differently in space, however the loneliness stays the same. Of course he loves the Eridians, though the strangling desire for human connection has only worsened as he’s grown older— and not aged. Erid's keeping its savior alive, and Ryland hates it.
It manifests into dreams, sick and cruel dreams of a man who could give Ryland everything he ever wanted. As long as the teacher didn’t mind the torment it came with.
So after eight years, he, Rocky, and Adrian embark on a trip light years away from Erid in the hopes of locating the Pavo Constellation, home to a star system full of iron, worship, and desperation. Perhaps they can revive Pavo’s dwindled stars? Locate the man who lingers just behind Grace’s eyes?
Pavo and Grace’s home system feel far too similar, but something lurks within the depths of Pavo’s Europa equivalent. Something that seems to be causing all of Ryland’s frenzied dreams. A man and a monster he promises to save.

Grace blinked. His whole body felt sore, and he felt like throwing up. Once his eyes came into focus, he noticed the metal ceiling. It didn’t look like Mary at all, and the floor beneath him was cold. He tried sitting up, and it sent a sharp sensation through his skull. He winced and clutched his head in his hands, turning to get on his knees. He was able to clutch the wall of wherever he was, and he stood up.

Grace does not save the world. He tried, okay? He really tried! When he tried to save Rocky... Or, when he *did* save Rocky... He succumbed to his burns...
And yet he woke up! In the dormitory! Unharmed!! It seemed like Armando had fixed all his wounds, but his skin was still scarred. He could live with that.
He stood up and stretched. He felt fine! 100% okay! He climbed the ladder and looked around, wondering where Rocky was. He hoped he was okay... He hoped he was healing... He found the Eridian awake! Rocky was scuttling around in his xenonite tunnels, and Grace walked up to the xenonite and greeted Rocky with a "hello!" but the Eridian did not seem to notice him. Weird.
Then Rocky paused, and turned around, tilting his carapace. Then he noticed Grace. "GRACE!! GRACE AWAKE, QUESTION? Rocky thought Grace not wake ever ever ever, statement. Was worried worried worried. Could not hear Grace heartbeat, statement."
Couldn't hear his heartbeat? How...?(btw Simon doesn't show up at first. Just wait a couple hundred years /hj)
