Summary
Tye is a sixteen year old that's been living in Arizona for a while. Now it's summer in his small town and not only is it hot as hell, but his mom's pushing him to get a job. That's how he ended up in a rundown ice cream shop with no real business despite it being the perfect weather for something cold. Even with no customers the place is still open somehow? Whatever. He meets his co-worker Ren who's socially awkward as all hell, and hates holding conversation. Throughout the summer, Tye makes it his goal to make this the summer where Ren experiences new things, and offers an escape to his troubling home life. He wants to make the boy smile more often-- that's not weird, right?

Summary
Majima develops a crush on a man who appears in Sunshine. Over time, he begins to form a shaky relationship with this man he later finds out is named Kiryu. Trust doesn't come easy for him. He's unsure if he will ever be able to put his faith into this strange man who suddenly appeared in his life, but maybe for once he can finally fall.

Summary
Majima does not want to hear him, which is an outcome he hadn’t expected. Kiryu knows only his own perspective: what greater bliss could there be than the sound of that avowal from his bashful heart? What could this esoteric animal want more than to know he is loved?
“Just pretend.” Neither of them looks at the other, balanced in exhaustion, meandering towards an arterial street. “It’s our last day on Earth. The world’s ending. What would you say to me?”
“I’d say…”
There is no reality in which he takes this thought experiment seriously, as is the jester’s privilege. Before them is an intersection at which their paths will diverge. The fools stand at the street corner, where Majima checks his answer against the stars. Perhaps quieted by fatigue, a somber affect replaces his singsong tone, tempering it down to something almost human when he speaks. He looks at Kiryu.
“I wish we had more time, Kiryu-chan.”

The creature almost looked human.
Almost.
Lanky, pale, wet red hair long enough to crawl down its back. It seemed completely human, if not for the legs that trembled like a fawn.
If not for the eyes that stared without blinking. If not for the eyes with slit pupils and the faintest muted glow.
Or the gills. And the glassy skin, not a scar in sight despite its records.
The creature was scared? Angry? No. It was just… Distressed.
