Or get thrown in jail and start presenting criminals to the one hot cop in the whole system, which leads to capturing your friend, who helps you capture your third friend. -

Summary
When you've accidentally been used in a ritual meant to entrap a possible new friend, it really is very important that afterwards you manage to properly introduce yourself.
However, it's also very important to start causing little pieces of chaos before anyone can warn your new friend! These things have to be balanced out appropriately, and on the whole, the Toy Soldier knows itself, and knows that it prefers the chaos to the proper society introduction. There's a reason it fits in with the Mechanisms.Series

There was always a time when supplies ran low or panels got dented beyond repair or somebody shot a hole through one of the fuel tanks. In those times, Nastya would sigh, put up a “0” on the “- Days Since Tomfoolery” sign, and go talk to Brian about the nearest suitable place to land.
That sign hadn’t gotten above a “10” for as long as Nastya could remember. At least it saved on the amount of number signs that had to be made.
Beyond the desert haze, a few minutes walk away from the landing site, was a town. Low-slung houses clustered around a marginally taller city center, though none of the buildings were particularly large or impressive even there. However, there was a large radio tower stuck smack-dab in the middle of town, and another on the far side of the settlement. Neither had any signs of disuse, and Nastya wondered at the necessity of having two separate towers for such a small community.
Maybe there were a lot of radio enthusiasts about.

We did it.
We have achieved what others would qualifie as impossible.
Through our many trials and errors that were experiment 0-12PS, 0-13PS, 0-14PS, 0-15PS, 0-16PS, 0-17PS, 0-18PS, 0-19PS, 0-20PS, 0-21PS, 0-22PS, 0-23PS, 0-24PS. We have tried something new, create it from scratch instead of picking subjects.
Experiment 0-25PS was a success.
Project Shapeshifter was a success.
By the knowledge we have gained from our mistakes. A small child was created. We had doubted it's abilities at first, but soon enough 0-25PS had accomplished what it's predecesors had tried to acheive.
Shapeshift.
What was once an extinct species of hybrid is now back, thanks to our design.
