Summary
“And what the fuck do you think you’re doing, Feeney?” He demanded.
“Oh, give it a rest, Izzy,” Wee John sighed. “I’ve already done my duties today. Leave me alone.”
Izzy bristled and puffed up with all the menace of a wet kitten.
“Blackbeard and Bonnet may tolerate your insubordination on this ship but I’m actually trying to keep us alive and afloat, and if you lazy, incompetent fucks knew half as much about sailing as I’ve forgotten—”
Wee John pressed his hand against Izzy’s chest, gently but firmly, and pushed him against the bulkhead. Izzy’s mouth snapped shut as his eyes widened. His massive hand covered Izzy’s entire sternum, fingertips brushing his clavicle, the heel of his hand against his solar plexus. Izzy’s breath caught in his chest.
“Hush,” Wee John said, stepping past Izzy as delicately as he could. “Just hush.”
If he’d stopped to look back, Wee John would have seen Izzy still frozen to the spot, mouth agape, face red as a tomato.OR
Can platonic touch help Izzy hands calm the fuck down?

Summary
“What the fuck are you eating?”
Stede looked up from his plate. He’d woken up feeling quite poorly—queasy stomach, headache, some other less pleasant digestive symptoms—and Ed had talked him into staying home sick for the day. It hadn’t taken Ed much convincing. Stede had slept most of the day (in between bathroom trips) and was finally feeling a bit better, though he’d been ravenous by early evening. He’d wrapped himself in sweatpants and one of Ed’s softest t-shirts, shuffled himself down to the kitchen, and made himself a snack—a comfort food from his childhood which he’d always thought of as the Carmelita Special. His nanny used to make it for their afternoon tea when he was small, and the taste always brought to mind the few warm, comforting memories he had from his childhood.
OR
Stede makes a weird snack. Ed is distressed.

Summary
“You never tried it?”
“No.”
“What, never ever? Not even a little?”
“No, Ed, I didn’t! You know how much of a bastard my father was, can you imagine the beating I would have gotten if I’d been caught? Absolutely not worth the risk.”
“I’d have thought boarding school—”
“It was a Catholic boarding school, Ed.”
“…Fair point. Nuns are scary.”
“Terrifying.”
“Well, shit. That’s depressing. Wait, hang on, I got an idea. ROACH! C ’mere a sec!”
“…Why do I feel like this isn’t going to end well?”OR
Stede tries edibles for the first time, with mixed (mostly positive) results.

Summary
Something had been bothering Ed for days, now. When asked, he always waved off Stede’s concern and said he was fine; Stede knew by now it would be fruitless to try and pry it out of him. Knowing that didn’t make the waiting any easier. It started a week ago when they’d stopped by Stede’s apartment after work; they’d spent a little time here since they’d been together, mostly on principle. Ed’s home had a nicer bed, a bigger shower, and the thought of trying to cook anything in Stede’s little kitchen made Ed weep. It just made more sense to stay at Ed’s.
OR
Ed works himself into a tizzy over something. Stede has anxiety about it. Everything works out in the end.

Summary
As mid-life crises went, Stede thought, his was perhaps more dramatic than most of the guys he knew. Some of his cohort from his school days had taken up exciting new hobbies like windsurfing. A few of the single blokes found themselves new and much younger girlfriends. The Badminton boys had, notably, purchased matching Lamborghinis for themselves which they shared social media photos of with obnoxious frequency. Stede, on the other hand….
Well. Perhaps ‘dramatic’ was underselling it a bit. None of the people Stede knew had come out of the closet, amicably divorced their very relieved spouse, disavowed their inheritance, and gotten their first real job.OR
Stede discovers that waiting tables isn't actually that easy, especially when he keeps getting distracted by the head chef, Ed. Comedy, cooking advice, food porn and actual porn ensue.

Summary
His earliest memories are of cold. They were always cold and damp in the belly of the ship bound for Antigua, crammed in with other poor souls who had their sentences commuted to Transportation to the colonies. He remembers clinging to his mother’s skirts, his stomach roiling with the waves but long since empty, listening to her hushed attempts to calm his sister in her arms. He shivered, and slept, and pretended not to hear his mother’s quiet crying.
How did Ed and Izzy meet? Where did Izzy's ring come from? What's to stop Jim from killing Blackbeard outright? And how will Izzy cope with the Kraken now that he has gotten more than he bargained for? Take a deep dive into Izzy's backstory, his relationship with Edward, and the fallout from the events of season 1.
