“Wh-” Phil didn’t have time to say anything as Techno took two strides to reach him, grabbing his wrist and pulling.
“Fucking run!” The pink haired man said louder now as they came into sight. There were easily fifteen, maybe twenty. Too many to deal with, as they would attract more. Phil and Techno ran, the shorter man surprisingly keeping pace with Techno.
The thing about these creatures- the undead, infected, zombies, whatever you wanted to call them- they were easy to underestimate. While they shuffled around slowly at first, that was only when they hadn’t spotted their food. The shuffling footsteps and groaning turned quickly into rampant steps and screaming.
