I’ve lost my son. You’ve done enough. Had my father given me a sword, I would’ve buried it in your chest the moment you stole my crown! Don’t ever summon me here again.”
She pulled at the handle, ready to leave him behind in the hollow quiet of his stolen chambers.
“Take off your gown.”
The command hit her like a thrown stone. She froze.
“…What?”
“I summoned you as your King,” Daemon said behind her, his voice cool and unhurried. “Take it off. And get on the bed.”
Daemon knelt before Rhaenyra. He swore himself to her cause, her crown, and her heart. But in the end, he seized the Iron Throne and tore their marriage apart.
