I don't..." Missa trails off he starts to fidget with his fingers in his lap, avoiding Phil's eyes entirely, "I don't know how to help."
Phil stares at him for a moment, his expression unreadable before he lets a soft huff and shrugs, "That's fine, I wasn't expecting you to."
Missa feels like it isn't fine, deep in his soul he feels the need to help out somehow. He stares at Phil for a few moments, watching him stretch out his wings and the way the inky black feathers get lost in the shadows. He watches the man closely, the way his shoulders roll back and forth, and an idea pops up.
"...Can a massage help?"

"I might not have that time Missa." Phil practically spits out. He's angry, Missa can tell. But it doesn't look like it. He wonders when the man had learned to hide his expressions so well...
"Why do you think that?"
Phil turns and stares at him, conflicted feelings fighting behind that strong gaze that Missa's always found himself drowning in. The bird then sighs and his shoulders slump.
"This island is dangerous."
"I know."
Phil reaches for Missa's hand absent-mindedly, "We could die tomorrow Missa."
"I know." Missa interlocks their fingers and squeezes.
Or, Missa and Phil are dealing with a lot, but they have each other.

"Chayanne." She starts.
Chayanne more feels than hears himself respond without any personal permission, "Tallulah.."
"You're leaving."
It wasn't a question but he still answered.
"...I am."
Or, leaving your youngest siblings will never be easy. And in Chayanne's case it isn't any easier.

"No no no," Missa blurts out, closing the distance between them as he gently holds onto Phil's wrist, "You didn't scare-- Well you did but that doesn't matter right now."
Phil doesn't bother to say anything else as he slips his eyes closed. Missa only stares, watches his every move. The way his shoulders rise and fall from breathing, the way his wings flutter against the wind picking up against the rain.
He's alive, they're both alive and... Okay is not really the appropriate word to use for this situation but he can remain a little delusional right?
He would say they're both luckily alive and both on the hopeful track to being more or less okay.
Or, Philza is in desperate need of help and only Missa is the one who can try.

She's the symbol of love and peace, universally liked. She's written into the bible by Jesus H. Christ, that's how loved she is.
Tommy isn't written into anything, isn't anywhere. He couldn't possibly compare.

“It’s… Basically, I take in the kids who need immediate placement. It means that we can get a call at any time to take someone in, and usually won’t have much time to prepare, or information to prepare with. You won’t have a lot of warning, if any. You could come home from school one day and a kid will be here because I won’t have time to tell you."
“That’s okay.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah, yeah. Tell them you want to be an… Emergency… Guy.”
Phil grinned. “I’m glad you’re okay with this, Wilbur.”They get their first call barely a month later. At two in the morning, Phil shakes Wilbur awake to tell him the news.
Or, a foster au centering on Wilbur and Tommy (and Techno's there too, of course), except it's not the same exact plot as all the other ones
