Like what he would assume a big brother to be. He’s not someone who knows Yuuji as something other than a murderer. He’s seen Yuuji for all that he’s become, all that he is, and still sticks around.
Or, to Yuuji, Choso is still mostly a stranger. To Choso, Yuuji is all he has left. In a way, Choso might be all Yuuji has left too.
