“Hyung?” Jisung asks quietly, when Minho’s spent too long lost in his own thoughts. “Is this close enough?”
“Yeah,” Minho chokes. He brings the joint back to his lips. Before he puts it in his mouth, he mutters, “you’re doing good, Jisungie.”
Jisung’s eyes slip closed momentarily, eyelashes fluttering on his cheeks, before he opens them back up. Minho’s already breathing in, feeling the smoke fill his lungs. On impulse, he rests his free hand on Jisung’s chin, using his fingers to pull his mouth open. Jisung opens up easily, his tongue poking his bottom lip. Minho leans forward, feeling Jisung’s anticipatory breaths against his face, and breathes out.

"Bullshit."
In one swift move, Minho slides onto Jisung's lap, thick thighs encasing Jisung's in a warm embrace. Jisung squeaks, hands coming up to do — what, push Minho away? Jisung could never. So they hover in the air hesitantly as Minho makes a home for himself sharing Jisung's chair, winding his arms around Jisung's neck, tucking his face into his shoulder.
Jisung freezes.
"What are you waiting for, Han Jisung?" Minho grumbles, shifting to get closer to his lover. "Fucking hug me."
jisung forgets to take care of himself pre-comeback. minho reminds him.

Summary
Jisung stopped abruptly, his mouth hanging open around a sound stuck in his throat. No words came out; he just clutched Minho’s hand tighter. He tried a few more times to voice his thoughts, but after what felt like a lifetime of silence, it became obvious that Minho had to address the elephant in the room himself.
“Do you want me to pretend to be your date?”
Even though he kept his tone light, almost casual, Minho could feel his insides twisting at the very notion of his suggestion. At the start of their friendship, Jisung had firmly stated to be straight to Minho’s utmost disappointment. But on such short notice, this was the only solution he could think of. He had no idea how Jisung planned to explain his sudden interest in dating a man, — dating Minho, of all people, — but there wasn’t much else they could do.
or: Jisung confirms taking a plus one to Felix and Chan's wedding, and Minho, being the amazing friend he is, offers himself as a (fake) boyfriend.

Just a Stray Kids fanfiction set in the Stranger Things universe. Except they are all adults. Of course, the plot is different, and the story takes place in post–Cold War America. Also, Russian Seungmin. Yes, we are going there. How are a bunch of korean people and one half korean half russian all living in a small town in America? Well, I have no idea. Other than that, I study culturology so I will try to be as historically accurate as possible.
This is the first work I’m posting on AO3, and I’m not used to the tagging system yet, so any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. I’m also from a small post-socialist country, so my English is not the best .Please excuse any grammatical errors.

“You want us to pretend to be a couple…in therapy. Just for fun.”
“Yeah!” Jisung nods enthusiastically. "Just until the therapist figures it out.”
Minho gives him a long, slow look that suggests he is currently measuring him for a straitjacket. “So. Two sessions, max.”
It’s supposed to be a joke– two best friends and roommates walk into a therapist’s office, and pretend they’re a couple until the therapist figures it out.
But old feelings die harder than old habits, and when everything they’ve been avoiding for five years finally catches up, Minho and Jisung start to realize they may not be pretending as much as they'd like to believe.

Summary
Jisung is an over thinker and a mess, but at least he knows it. He has always been good at avoiding things—intense thoughts, feelings, consequences and anything that might actually matter.
Minho doesn’t do complications—except when it comes to Jisung. In some way he’s an avoider too, but he has always been better at pretending.
There’s a past they don’t talk about and a night that changes everything.
Somewhere between being too high and too honest, lines blur, truths slip out and what was supposed to mean nothing starts to feel like a mistake they won’t be able to undo.
Or: Jisung thinks he’s not worthy of the love from the only person he truly trusts.
