When Harry Potter’s name comes out of the Goblet of Fire Dumbledore thinks he'll finally get the boy where he wants him. What he gets instead is a platoon of cadets from Her Majesty's Royal Mage Corp. More specifically, he gets Serpent Squad, a group of highly trained teenagers led by a green eyed boy with the codename 'Rooster'. A boy who will never allow himself to become Dumbledore’s pawn.

Summary
What I wanted to write was a quick one-shot that explored the idea of Harry being the biological son of Voldemort, only Voldemort doesn't know he has a son and is also as evil as ever. Meanwhile, Harry is just a charismatic kid with a snake and ridiculously powerful magic.
It turned into a series rewrite.
Here's book one, I guess.
Features Harry Potter trying to keep his friends from doing crimes, a tired Remus Lupin spontaneously adopting a traumatized child with absurd magical capabilities, Severus Snape doing the bare minimum which is still somehow more than what Dumbledore is capable of, and Harry's friends' growing exasperation with Harry's terrible decision-making skills.

Summary
This is the story of Harry Potter and Hermione Granger. From their entrance as ignorant children to a strange, harsh, and demanding world, to their growth into rulers recognized on the world stage. Their journey will not be a gentle one, full of many successes and failures. Along the way, they will make friends, learn from brutal instructors, and become part of the legendary family Black.
This is a 'what if' about what would happen if 'Draco isn't an Idiot', and paid attention to the lessons Narcissa taught about the Black, and following their motto, ‘family first.’ Naturally, Draco would invite Harry to join his family, and from there he actually learns the truth, instead of the lies told by Dumbledore. With proper supervision and the love of family, Harry excels in ways never dreamed.
Because that wasn't enough of a challenge, I also made a world very similar to Victorian England with harsh discipline, honor, and proper comportment. I created a world where first-gens are used to replenish the magic of families, so while second-class citizens, they are necessary every three generations to keep the family magic alive. Beloved Hekate is the goddess of magic, and she does occasionally interfere, too.

"Then mote it be, little snake" the horned woman rose with a dry, almost scronful grin. "A piece of your soul surrendered freely. And in it's place an ancient magick to gain infinite knowledge. All of truth and reality shall be laid bare to its sight".....
"I feel no different. What, .. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE ?" He thundered.
"Pity" Loki replied barely hiding her glee, "It seems you forgot to specify which part of your soul you wished to surrender"

Many many miles away, A green eyed boy awoke from his slumber with a start. His scar was bleeding as if it were a freshly made wound.
A semi transparent screen floated ghost like in front of his face.
