Jack nearly sneered at her in disgust but held himself back, mostly because he was too tired to chastise her about her place as a nanny. “They’re always like this. They’re my children.”
“You must be proud,” she replied shyly. “To have all your children end up as supers.”
He pursed his lips, and grimaced in exhaustion. He was, if only it didn't come with the price of him losing his own powers.

Summary
