Summary
It is only of human nature to want what cannot be brought back. People, places, words, and yet humans refuse to let those aspects of themselves go, experiences better left in the past for a reason. And yet, for once, the universe gave in. In a timeline where the seventh fallen child's soul is claimed and Asgore frees the Underground, the souls claimed refuse to stay dead.

“How many?” He asks, eyes widening. “How many fell?”
Frisk hesitates. They held up their fingers.
“Eight.” He repeats. “Eight people fell down. How many of them made it out?”
Frisk shakes their head. None of them. He cannot comprehend the words he’s hearing. “Oh. Is Asgore still alive?”
They nod.

“Eyes down!” one of them barks. It is not the one who likes Phil.
Phil returns his eyes to the floor. He can see the chains around his waist, connected to stiff poles. Like those catch poles you’d see on animal rescue shows.
Or Phil assumes that you would see them. Its been five years. Maybe they’ve found something better.
The catch-pole comparison used to bother him. He used to bristle at the thought of being treated like an animal. It is no less galling now, but he is...used to it.
He is what the guards refer to as “wild caught." He’s used to being dehumanized.
After all, he isn’t human, not to the people in charge, not to the Vault. The Vault contains two things: guards, and threats.
Phil is a threat. -

Technoblade is a glitched person. This means respawn isn't guaranteed for him, and when he does respawn, there's no guarantee that his injuries will heal completely or at all. Glitched people are often blamed for magic-related incidents, whether or not they're actually involved, and are often ostracized for being glitched. Most glitched people either remain isolated or hide among the healthy, trying their best to fit in. Despite knowing this, he still tries uphold his reputation and acts fearless in the face of death. All it takes is one slip-up for everything to come crashing down.
