His first fear was that he would be alone, perhaps having forgotten a comment about John going out with a friend that day, or visiting his mother for the weekend. But as he slowly pushed open the door of John’s bedroom, which appeared to be in the exact place he expected it would be, he heard a creak on the floorboards from the next door down, mirroring his own motions.
He locked eyes with a man who looked identical to him, with dark eyes, thick, messy hair, and deep shadows under the eyes, even more intense than they appeared in the mirror after days of little sleep. Even without the ear defenders, sunglasses, or his usual dark blue sweatshirt, it was clear he was looking into the eyes of Sherlock Holmes.

This is also them majorly projecting onto these characters though Scarab won't admit this and views Carma completely separate from himself. Nearly all of Aziraphale’s time was occupied by meetings, plan-making, or otherwise strictly business. One does tend to become a bit cranky when it’s all work, no play. There was no time for reading, not that there were any physical books in Heaven anyhow. There were certainly no crepes, or extraordinary brunches at the Ritz. Worst of all, there was no Crowley.
