Summary
An Error in AM’s code kills both him and Ted, when they wake up they find themselves on the side of a deserted country road with nothing in sight. And AM… has a human body now?
Eventually they realise that they are in an alternate universe where AM never destroyed the world and the cold-war didn’t end up turning into WWIII. Turns out in the last 60 or so years that would have elapsed the worlds changed… like a lot. Especially on the technology front, and suddenly AM doesn’t look like the complex super computer he used to.

Summary
Stanley and Nathan (the Narrator) are work enemies at Parable. Inc, so when their boss assigns them to work on a project together or get fired they are understandably angry.
But then the offices’s power goes out and a sudden accident renders Stanley homeless, leaving Nathan no choice but to let his work-enemy to live with him. But Nathans slowly growing a soft spot for Stanley, and Stanley is starting to think he feels the same.

Narrator, a struggling writer, loves coming to Stanley's concerts. However, due to some circumstances, he won't be able to come to his concertos for a while. Stanley suggests for Narrator to join him on his practice time before his next week's recital - Tchaykovsky's Nutcracker. Overjoyed, he agrees, not being prepared for what was about to come.
