The call came at midnight, right before Bruce was supposed to set out for patrol. He hadn't even put on his suit yet when an alert came in on the Batcomputer from Superman. Of course, Bruce dropped everything to answer. It's what a good friend would do.
Kal's face and shoulders filled the screen, with skin bright red and sweat beading at his brow. He's panting, too. Bruce's eyes wandered across the expanse of tan skin he could see, but snapped back when his friend opened his mouth.
"I'm going into rut."

Some details remained the same between retellings: there was a monstrous creature in this town, it punished crime and protected the town from invasion, and it occasionally asked for a human sacrifice.
In a castle overlooking a town lives a monstrous bat creature. It is the town’s protector and a source of fear. Clark Kent hears about these rumours and comes to investigate.

That in spite of everything, Steph had never wondered if wanting hands would catch her if she should fall.
So no, she will absolutely not hold back, nor will she even try to restrain the rest of the Wayne children who are equally ready to go to war for the man who took them in and called them his, regardless of the blood in their veins or what name they went by.
Because no matter the circumstances that led to a child's existence, they should never have to wonder if they will fall asleep safe and wake up loved.

Damian wasn't the type to be pushed aside, not even when his father asked him to. But maybe there wasn't much choice, especially if the CPS had already been involved by Oliver…
“Batman…”
Diana was the one who approached Batman first, her lasso glowing in her hand. “We are sorry.”
A long pause. Then a dry, guttural sound escaped the Bat. A cruel chuckle, so full of rage it was waiting to spill out like a raging river.
"Is that all? After all the shit you threw at him, you're coming after him with your tail between your legs?," the Bat said, angry and Clark's eyes widened.

"That man murdered Mom and Dad!" Thomas shouted, his face flushed with rage and grief. "What's he going to do to you?"
"Nothing. Don't cry," Bruce replied, trying to compose himself. He turned to Alfred and hugged him. The old man looked at him with eyes full of sorrow. "You've grown so much, young Bruce," Alfred whispered. "I only wish for you a happy marriage and a home full of children."
"How can you be happy with a psychopath? After killing our parents, he dragged their bodies all over Gotham," Thomas spat, his anger barely masking his terror. "Don't go, Bruce! You can escape."
Bruce sighed, a sigh heavy with the weight of a crumbling kingdom. “Gotham has no money, there’s no food, people are dying of smallpox, and the criminals are worse. If I marry him, the Empire will send help. Besides, our uncle has already decided; it’s for the best.”
“I don’t want her! I don’t want her help!” Thomas shouted.

He let himself get distracted, all because he was a little annoyed. Bruce made it back to the cave in record time, still grumbling as he took off the cowl and began examining the busted tech.
“You’re back earlier than expected, Master Bruce.” Said an older man with an English accent
Bruce only acknowledged him with an exasperated groan, his eyes locked onto the large computer screen as his hands flew over the keyboard typing furiously.”
-or young Batman AU where Bruce ends up revealing his identity to the Justice League after several close calls and they’re basically really surprised at his age. Young Bruce acts like a teenager sometimes cause it’s cute :D Nobody can convince me that baby Batsy wouldn’t throw a fit once he’s revealed. I like the idea that Bruce gained a bit of an accent from Alfred, so he puts on an overly Gothamite accent when he’s vigilanting? Batmaning? Heroing?
Might write more later to be part of an ongoing storyline, hopefully.
