    Inches from Kyojuro's face, Akaza blinks up at him innocently.

    "Kiss me?" he asks simply.

    With the aggrieved resignation of a man accepting his fate, Kyojuro stifles a swear and squeezes his eyes shut briefly. Given Akaza's propensity for wickedness, it's completely unfair that the universe gave him such adorable eyes framed by thick gorgeous lashes. He only ever uses them for evil, evil things. Things like pretending he's not playing horrible mind games with Kyojuro's desperate dick.

    In the modern day, Tomioka Giyuu worked through the night on his student reports, then had a regular breakfast with his sister.

    In the Taishou era, Tomioka Giyuu reunited with the Kamados on Mount Natagumo, and was put on trial at an expedited Hashira meeting.

    Then, abruptly, they were thrown into each other's bodies. Modern-day Giyuu stood in the middle of the Hashira meeting and. Froze. Said nothing. And nobody noticed.
    Months upon months later, the Hashira are slowly realizing that perhaps the Water Hashira isn't the Water Hashira.

    For an orphan like Naruto, who grew up craving family more than ramen, discovering she had a cousin felt like winning the lottery. Sure, Nanami wasn’t anything like her—quiet, serious, allergic to fun—but hey, they were both blond, so that totally counted.

    Tracking him down in Japan had been a mission worthy of an S-rank, made possible only thanks to Jiraiya’s weird contacts.

    They kept in touch afterwards.

    But the moment the news arrived: Nanami’s best friend Haibara was gone — Naruto understood. So she left to be by her cousin’s side.

    She thought she’d stay for a week. Maybe two.
    Help him from breaking down.

    Turns out, peaceful mornings, warm dinners, and teasing a very grumpy Nanami were dangerously addictive. And somehow her life exploded into:

    • a cousin who pretended not to cry when she made breakfast
    • one “accidentally” adopted baby
    • two kids they somehow ended up with
    • Gojo Satoru, who showed up once, fell in love at first sight, flirted twice, and apparently moved in permanently

    One morning Naruto realized: she had a family. A loud, chaotic, ridiculous, wonderful family and more precious people than she ever dared dream of.
