Maybe it was late, maybe Ben was tired. Maybe Ben was tired of being ignored, that she pretended he didn’t exist. He spoke without thinking. “What did you do to set Warrington on me?”
Parkinson had walked a few steps further, her back was still turned to him. She froze. She then turned slowly, eyes void of emotion.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
Ben stepped forward. He tilted his head. “Please. I think we both know better than that.”
Her eyes finally sparked. She lifted her chin. “What do you want from me?” She hissed. “An admission? Should I confess to the whole school?”
Ben clenched his jaw. “I want to know why you are ignoring me.” He said in a low tone.
“Sweet Salazar, maybe I just want you to leave me alone!” She’d raised her voice. “Didn’t your Muggle mother teach you not to bother girls who don’t want to be bothered?” The venom in her voice increased.
Heat roared in Ben’s chest. “FUCK YOU!” He shouted. “You called me a creep, humiliated me, had me beaten, and now you’re suddenly above it all?”

Harry Potter’s eighth year gets off to a terrible start when he accidentally binds himself to Draco Malfoy.
This is unfortunate for several reasons.
Firstly, neither of them can move more than six feet away from the other without collapsing.
Secondly, they hate each other.
Thirdly, Hogwarts may be shut down, political extremism is on the rise as the Wizarding World suffers the consequences of the post-war wreckage and someone is doing their absolute best to convince Britain that another war would be a brilliant idea.
The bond, unfortunately, turns out to be the least of their problems.
