Summary
Footsteps echo in his ears and Buck bites his lip in fear and frustration. There’s only one thing he can do.
Buck reaches for his radio, ignoring the sounds of scuffling feet and shouting strangers approaching.
“Mayday, mayday, mayday,” Buck presses out as steady as possible. “This is Firefighter Buck–Ah!”
A hand grabbing a fistful of his hair cuts off his sentence, ripping a cry from his lips as his head is jerked back.
Buck is kidnapped from a call and held for ransom, but it only gets worse the longer that he’s kept in the dark. He doesn’t know who these people are or what they want, and there’s only so much he can handle before he’s pushed over the edge.

Summary
[Time passes oddly. Between one second and the next, Sokka has the Fire Lord pinned to the wall with his hands around the bastard’s throat. Golden eyes (one gold eye, his mind whispers) widen in shock.
“Sokka?” he chokes out. And then he smiles.
What the fuck?
“Sokka, I—”
Sokka slams his head against the wall, once, twice, and the smile wipes off his face. Good.
“What,” Sokka bites out, “have you done to my sister?”]
Or:
An injury leaves Sokka with amnesia. His last memory is of the failed invasion, of leaving his father behind in enemy territory on the Day of Black Sun. Of hopelessness. Rage.
But then he wakes up, and the war is over. Suddenly, he must come to terms with the fact that years have passed, and that he's somehow the Southern Water Tribe Ambassador to the Fire Nation. He is also supposedly friends with banished-Prince-turned-Fire-Lord Zuko, of all people. Close friends.
Yeah, nah.

Summary
“Hi,” she says in a breathless rush, then takes a moment to swallow and wet her lips. “I, uh, need your help?”
“Are you dying?”
“N-not exactly.”
“Then you don’t need me,” comes Jason’s lazy, uninterested reply.
The call ends with a click.
--
Steph doesn't know what's more embarrassing: that she's been locked in a closet during a party, or the fact that her "friends" aren't really her friends. And to top it all off, Jason's the only one who can come rescue her.

Summary
Most people rekindled friendships with people from high school over Facebook or Twitter. Most people met for coffee, shared pictures of their bratty children, and sent old friends Christmas letters once a year.
Marinette was clearly not most people as she had somehow hooked up with her former high school crush on a bondage dating website and didn't know it until he was standing in front of her with an identical look of bemused embarrassment plastered all over his pretty face.

Summary
Chat Noir was no stranger to a difficult home life—Ladybug knew that more than anyone. When he jokingly suggests that life would be easier for the both of them if they were roommates, the two of them freeze like ice in the midnight air, breath caught between them as the notion hits them full force. It drifts through their thoughts in silence until they decide that perhaps, in a world where impossible things are plausible, the idea wouldn't be such a bad one.
So, with a skip in their steps and an entirely new kind of excitement brewing in their chests, the two find themselves considering something neither of them had ever before: moving in together. The tricky part is still keeping their identities a secret.
