It was quiet, Tommy thought. That was certainly strange. It was almost never quiet in the Watson household, not even at night, with Techno always up doing something and Wilbur’s music always floating down the hall no matter the time of day. So why now was it so quiet?
Well no, that was a lie. He could hear shuffling in Wilbur’s room on the other side of the wall, since it was practically silent now save for the clock ticking in the hallway. Man, Tommy fucking hated that clock. Shit wait that was not what he needed to focus on.
What he should be focusing on, was the crying going on in the bedroom next door.
Was Tommy really about to do this? Was he really going over to see what was wrong with his foster brother? Maybe he got dumped, or maybe something was just not going right. It wasn’t serious. Right?

Or, four times Tommy brushes off the red flags blaring in his face and the one time he is too late.

Summary
Five times Taako manages to get a hug from one of his friends without having to actually admit that he wants a hug, and one time he flat out cops to it.
1. Taako hates being cold and wet. He's both, thanks to an inconvenient river. Magnus is a human furnace, and thus it begins.
2. Waking up feeling inexplicably lonely, Taako tries to goad Magnus into bickering with him in a bid for some company. He gets the company, at least.
3. Angus is almost hit by a rogue cart, Taako deals with being idolized and trusted by a kid he doesn't think he deserves the faith of.
4. During a fight, Taako almost dies, and Merle gets to practice his healing skills.
5. Magnus has a nightmare, Merle nearly loses Magnus after a fight, and Taako finds himself on the other side of things.
