Summary
Stiles Stilinski would like it known that he did not intend to break the law. Or get a new boyfriend. Or be forcefully adopted and recruited by the BAU. He never intended to solve murders, just as he never intended to get his best friend turned into a Halloween stereotype. Though he doesn't regret it, he would like to blame it on Scott and Jackson for leaving Stiles and Danny unsupervised in a lockable room with alcohol. Honestly, their lives would have been much simpler if they had just stuck to the normal teenage things like making out, instead of hacking the BAU.

Elsewhere, a young daughter of Zeus made her final stand.
Percy was nine when he opened his eyes, phantom lightning crawling over his skin and the echoes of a woman’s last moments still ringing in his ears. If he closed his eyes, he could still see the twin onyx eyes staring back at him.
When his mother told him the story of his namesake, of Perseus the son of Zeus, he didn't tell her he already knew. Had already seen a mother and her infant set adrift in a raging storm, watched a boy travel far and slay monsters for the sake of his mother’s safety. But he didn’t tell her this. He was young, but he knew already what happened to people like him. People who see.
He was no prophet; he would not suffer their fate. He would bite his tongue and let the prophecies pass him by.

Thorin was not in a good mood.
Not that Thorin was often in a good mood. He’d rarely had a chance for a good mood in his life. Not since Erebor. He spent most of his time trying to provide for the people he brought to Ered Luin. In the last year he’d hardly even smiled, what with the utterly ridiculous time he and his Company had had in trying to reclaim their mountain. He’d expected the dragon, and probably a little of trouble with the elves. The constant orc attacks, the goblins, the trolls, and the spiders, had been a bit much, but the bloody battle had just been the end of it all.
But no, even that wasn't enough. Life still had more in store for Thorin Oakenshield and his loyal Company. It intended to see just how strong he could be where a little hobbit was concerned. Not to mention the fact that the 'greatest calamity of our time' actually had nothing to do with a dragon.
And Thorin couldn't even blame the elves for all their troubles.

Ohhh, David realises as he gets handed a plate. Okay, I got it. He was surprised that Bobby’s son hadn’t come up when Michael first mentioned his children given how much emphasis he put on the positive co-parenting relationship their family unit strived to maintain. But then again – Buck was obviously much older than Michael and Athena’s two children if he had a child the same age as Harry. The step/co-parenting dynamic would clearly be completely different than it was with May and Harry.
Or,
The one where David is determined to prove that he’s in it with Michael for the long-haul, and that includes accepting and caring about the children of the Grant-Nash household. All 3 of them.

May realised a very long time ago that Buck was basically her stepbrother. So, when the lightning strike finally provided the impetus for Bobby to admit that he also brought a kid into their family, she had every intention of seizing the opportunity to properly integrate Buck into the Grant-Nash family.
And, look, if in the process she also gains a brother-in-law… clearly the universe was just waiting for the opportunity to make that happen.
