Her Phantom half was blocked in by her horcrux-scar, but the outward pressure was enough for a particularly hot piece of coal to dislodge it, causing her Phantom half to spill out. But since it was trapped inside her Human half for so long, she can merge both into one, though it feels like wearing a rather tight pair of socks for gloves.
