    The bush rustles and the cry shrieks through his skull. He stops. 

    Phil's ears perk up, twisting and twitching around to get a better sense of his surroundings. His nose twitches and all he can smell is fledgling. The cry of a fledgling pierces his skull, leaving a throbbing ache that causes him to wince in its place.

    “You’re so precious,” Phil whispers against his baby’s hair. He pulls away to let himself look back at that little face, and his heart explodes once more at the eyes staring back at him. “What’s your name, little one? Where’s your parents, huh? Or should I say ex-parents, seeing as I’m your new daddy now?” He smiles giddily, and the baby lets out a small giggle. It’s music to Phil’s ears, like tiny jingle bells.

    OR: Phil has a couple issues but he meets a baby and decides he wants to be a father again. The baby already has parents tho. oops

    “We’re building a homeless shelter,” Technoblade blurts.

    That’s not-- what?

    “What?” Wilbur echoes his thoughts. That-- he doesn’t understand.

    Technoblade repeats it. “We’re building a homeless shelter. It won’t be ready for a few days, but this time next week I guarantee it’ll be up and running.”

    Wilbur shakes his head. This doesn’t make sense. It must be a trap, a way to gather them all in one building to make it easier to take them all.

    “I promise,” Technoblade insists, “It’ll be done by then. It’ll have blankets, food, good food, a warm space, even rooms eventually.” He takes a step forward, and Wilbur staggers back. He keeps Tommy cradled against his body.

    This can’t be real. It’s a trap. Technoblade is lying.

    Or, Wilbur has five kids (some of whom are magic), trust issues, fiercely loyal friends and a knife against a kingdom actively trying to conscript him or kill him by any means necessary.

    It's a good thing the Antarctic Empire is looking to expand its borders.
