There's nothing like having things thrust upon you.
Awakening with no memories of her previous life in a hostile area with nothing but a sword, a small bundle of data drives and dogtags, a new light Guardian is thrust into her new life complete with fighting Fallen and a War all in less than day of being revived. Because why would anything be easy? Throw in bulky titan armor, a busted com mic and a Ghost that constantly speaks for you, and you have one jaded Guardian in the making.
Set to start less than a day before the Redwar, covering everything before Beyond light. Jump cuts in the story and references will be made accordingly. Beyond light onwards will be it's own story.

I also DO NOT give permission for this to be published as an e-book NOR do I give permission for this to be published as an Audiobook. After Crypto digs around in Revenant’s code and gives him some relief from the constant, crushing pressure of the memories of hundreds of death, Revenant has no idea how to thank him. Luckily, Crypto seems to like plants! It’s simple enough that Revenant buys a bunch, but when he starts, gradually, spending longer in each miserable shell, he has to take care of the damn things until he dies.

But secrets lie within the games and within the Champions who inhabit it. For so long these Legends have kept their heads down. Not threatening their lives to finally fight back and seek the truths they’ve each buried. Until the arrival of a new legend who is going to finally make them question everything.
(This will hopefully end up being a long fic to explore the lore around Apex. It will be your typical dystopian fight back style novelization I hope of Crypto leading the Legends to stop killing each other and to start seeking their truths.)

There is a seemingly endless period of time where the two of them square off, each unflinching in his own way. Crypto wonders what it would be like if Revenant killed him right now--he imagines bleeding out right here, on this dirty mattress in this dirty apartment that doesn’t even belong to him. If it took long enough to find him, his bones and the hardware drilled into his skull might be the only things left to recognize him by. Revenant sifts through his corrupted memory banks until he finds that last human day, the one where everything broke down. Would it be so bad, to go back to living like that? He figures it’s at least worth the risk.

Crypto needs allies. Revenant needs to get the Syndicate off his back. Neither of them can communicate like adults. Originally drafted before the Broken Ghost questline.
