It is hard to find something extraordinary, or even horrific, if you spend every moment of your life breathing it in.
So of course, Tommy's home was ordinary for him (as ordinary as he was, powerless in a world full of abilities). Even if he, at the same, time knew how dangerous it was to simply wander it's halls.
(or: Tommyinnit's house has something wrong with it, but who cares when there are vigilantes and the like knocking at the windows?)

Summary
At sixteen, Canary is one of the most feared villains in the city.
Nobody knows who he is. Nobody knows where he came from. All anyone knows is that Canary is always right.
Heroes think he’s a criminal mastermind. Villains think he can predict the future. Tommy thinks both assumptions are ridiculous.
After all, he’s got chemistry homework due on Friday.
Or, Tommy accidentally becomes a feared crime boss because his survival instincts are so absurdly overpowered that everyone mistakes him for a criminal genius. Meanwhile he’s living in abandoned buildings, failing chemistry, and pretending he definitely has his life together.
Unfortunately for him, the heroes are about to figure that out. And even more unfortunately, some of them might decide that’s their problem now.
This is my first Fic! So please bear with me on this. I’ll update tags and characters either as I remember them or as they show up in the story. I’ll try to release at the very least a chapter or two a week! Please, enjoy this fic that I thought of at literally 1 in the morning!

Summary
Scar and Grian go on a routine ghost investigation that's entirely normal until it isn't.
Luckily, they're professionals, and are in no way about to let things get incredibly out of hand.
“Hello,” the spirit box crackles.
Grian can’t deny the thrill twisting up inside him. Scar is close and his body is warm. It feels silly, really. Harmless in a way Grian finds he enjoys. The ghost’s compliment lingers in his mind, making him feel loose and confident. Cautious, he dips his chin down, turning his face to nuzzle into the curve of Scar’s palm where it still cups his jaw.
“Kiss him,” the radio skips through various stations, voices of women and men overlapping one another. “Please.”
“Isn’t this cool?” Scar asks, the haziness of the moment brushing aside as he breaks character long enough to be endearingly genuine. “We’ve never had consistent spirit box activity like this before. This one’s invested.”
“Scar,” Grian sighs alongside radio static that sounds like laughter. “Can you just do what you’re told?”

Summary
The light vibration in his throat as he tried to speak was missing. Like his vocal cords had completely given up on him.
Grian looked back at the two suspected culprits with wide eyes, trying to hide the way his right hand was trembling on his neck.
“I had hoped it would not come to this”, the left one spoke, the voice devoid of emotion. “You have been chosen. You are to become one of Us. And Watchers do not speak.”

Evolution was supposed to be a normal server. Grian wasn’t supposed to get trapped in the End and be changed into something beyond his comprehension. As his playerhood gets ripped away, Grian is thrusted into the cold, unfeeling world of Watchers. A world he never was meant to belong to.
Deep down, he is still a player wanting to be whole again. A player wanting to get back his old connections and live a normal life. A player, who had lost his physical body and the ability to interact with his surroundings in the process of becoming a Watcher.
This story is a journey of learning to live once more, finding and returning to normal when "normal" seems unattainable, and finally being able to love yourself again.
