Summary
Too many things. Too many noises, too many movements, and he doesn’t notice the presence just outside his bubble. He briefly hears Warriors yell over the disarray, shout his name in a volume that cracks his voice. Movement among a sea of movement, a tail emerging from the riot of claws and scales. It’s heavy and it goes for his face; it connects.
He feels himself get thrown back into something even harder, the back of his head hitting tree bark, and everything slips away.

For the first time of the breach, Ezra was horribly aware of one fact: everything was still there. They were all still talking, moving, and trying to reach him. The only difference now was that he couldn’t quite reach back anymore.
