What starts as quiet suspicion turns into something heavier as Abbot begins to unravel beneath the pressure of overnight shifts, chronic pain, and an addiction he thought he buried years ago. And as the distance between them grows sharper and harder to ignore, both of them are forced to confront how much of their lives have quietly come to depend on the other staying functional.

Eve always had an ethereal quality to her, that quality makes it harder to not just pull the ring out of chest in the modern artifact wing of the library. Not just the veritas ring from the library but a silver band with a medium sized diamond in the middle. For practicalities sake Flynn had also gotten a silver chain to hold the ring as a necklace.
The tethering ceremony was not the same as a wedding but he hoped Eve Baird would give him the honor of letting him be her husband.

In the workplace, particularly for those who work at a hospital, a person’s secondary gender has no place. They are supposed to act like they don’t exist, but the system isn’t perfect. Medical students of the same status often butt heads. Some asshole alphas try to act superior.
In order to prevent this, doctors wear scent blockers while on shift. It isn’t foolproof, but it’s vital to ensuring that someone’s presentation or scent doesn’t cause any issues.
Or, Michael Robinavitch and Jack Abbot realize what the other smells like and try to avoid the elephant in the room for as long as possible.

There were rumors, quickly squashed by the island kingdom, that the Prince of Ithaca had grown wings on his feet when he was a boy. There were rumors that he had wings elsewhere too; on his back and behind his ears. They were squashed even quicker. Anyone who could get a look at the prince could see that his body was not adorned in feathers of any kind.
None of them knew, and Ithaca’s royal family planned to keep it that way. Fearing that this problem of unknown origin (curse or yet another divine being’s fling with a mortal) would be seen as an insult to the gods and bring down their wrath. Odysseus has grown used to having to cut down or hide the extra appendages, but the struggle only grew when he was forced into the Trojan War.
Now, with the war at its end and his fleet ready to return home, he only has one thing on his mind; getting home to his wife and son.
OR
An alternate universe where Hermes's relation to one particular Greek hero becomes a bit more prominent, and he suddenly has a much better reason to help Odysseus on his journey home.

He grabbed a loose strand of hair between his thumb and forefinger, spinning it in his grip. Tenna crossed his arms expectantly as he watched Spamton mull over how he wanted to respond. He really didn’t see what the big deal was.
“Fine, yeah, I dye it,” Spamton admitted finally. He gestured at his hair with his free hand. “Gotta have a signature style.”
