Summary
Vi’s new home–for the next few months, at least–definitely has more than a few stories to tell. She just doesn't expect the ghost of Caitlyn Kiramman to be the one to tell them. After a hundred years of solitude, haunting the halls of her childhood home, Caitlyn is used to being alone. At least she thinks she is, until the manor's latest pink-haired, tattooed guest changes everything.

Vi comes to a stop in front of a portrait of a woman standing with her back to the viewer, only half of her face visible over her shoulder. There is a hunting rifle in her hand, and a proud arch in her spine. There’s something about the woman’s expression that Vi can’t look away from–it’s soft, almost curious, but there’s an undeniable sharpness in her eye, like she’s staring right into Vi’s soul.
She’s also, at least from what Vi can tell by the angle of the portrait, exactly Vi’s type.
“Well, hey there, handsome,” Vi says under her breath.
“Good afternoon.”

The first thing Vi notices when they pull up to their house is this: her parking spot has been taken, which is audacious in and of itself because hey, this isn't some fucking jungle: they've got neighborhood manners around here.
They've got etiquette: you don't just snatch up another dude's spot, and everyone knows this is Vander's spot.
He's parked here for years; Vi's parked here for years, using his truck.
The second thing is that her parking spot has been taken up by this massive, sleek, hyper sport Kawasaki.

It's hate at first sight, but maybe first impressions are overrated...

"I want your help."
Her eyes meet his. They're too fucking blue, dark and deep and surrounded by long, pretty lashes.
"Help writing?" She imagines late nights standing behind him as he writes by the glow of his laptop, bending down so their cheeks hover with only warm inches of air between them. Letting her chin rest on his shoulder for a second, her nails tapping the screen. Feeling his breath hitch as she presses herself to him. She shifts in her seat and tries to pull herself together.
He shakes his head. "No. Help with the sex."
She laughs. It startles out of her in a bubble. "You want me to help you find someone to shag?" she asks incredulously, raking her fingers through her tangled curls (she was too hungover this morning to brush them properly).
But Colin doesn't laugh, and his eyes don't leave hers. "No. I want to shag you." He grimaces. "I've never said that word before."
