“What if we had our own Adam?” Crowley finally suggests. Aziraphale’s stomach lightens with bubbles in the way he’s learned to love so much. “Not the same way, obviously. Something tells me it’d be a struggle to convince you to steal a baby.”
A baby.
“Is that what you want, Crowley?” Aziraphale asks. “You want a baby?”
Crowley’s beat of silence is answer enough, and it all clicks into place for him in that moment. Aziraphale understands.
“You want our baby,” he says, more statement than question this time.

Summary
The EMT was a handsome older bloke, with soft, curly blonde-white hair and warm blue eyes that were soft and crinkled at the edges. His cheeks were round and flushed with red, and he looked rather frazzled, but in a way that somehow looked so utterly gorgeous. White gloves were pulled tightly over his hands, contrasting the dark color of his uniform, and spectacles balanced on his nose, slightly fogged from the smoke nearby, though they were, for the most part, out of range from the smoldering church.
“Hi.” Crowley, who was caked in grime and smoke and debris and who was wearing a dirty, unwashed firefighter’s suit and who was barely able to speak in a voice louder than a raspy, hoarse croak, thought that perhaps he had died and gone to Heaven. Would’ve believed it, too, with this angel before him, if the adrenaline wasn’t starting to wear off, giving way to dull, throbbing pain in his skull. “M’Crowley,” he introduced himself, rather stupidly. “Anthony Crowley.”

She turns onto her side to admire Crowley. Reaching forward, her fingers brush Crowley’s arm.
“G’morning, angel,” Crowley rasps.
“Good morning,” Aziraphale says, the darling at the end of the sentence unsaid but implied.
Crowley doesn’t respond. Her arms are still over her face. Odds are that she’s already fallen back asleep.
There had been a time—more than three thousand years ago but less than six thousand—that Aziraphale and Crowley had danced around each other, unsure if their tenuous agreement added up to that precious thing called trust. And now Crowley is asleep in Aziraphale’s bed, covering her eyes and dozing off, safe and warm and trusting and all the things that demons aren’t supposed to be but Crowley is. Aziraphale regrets having done anything to hurt her; Aziraphale wants to do anything to keep her like this from now until forever; Aziraphale wants to make sure she feels nothing but good things until the end of time.
Hm. That’s an idea.

Anathema had made a post-Armageddon Christmas party, for the in-the-know of the occult. Aziraphale gets his invitation via phone when Maggie had come round expressing her problems with being paid (No, Aziraphale didn’t understand either) for helping in Nina’s cafe so Anathema had extended the invite to the two.
Turned out Adam, who’s now 15, had some history revision and who’s better but Aziraphale and Crowley? Storytime everyone was interested for, especially when Aziraphale mentioned his pirate years.
