Summary
“You thought,” he laughed, an incredulous, humorless, maniacal kind of laugh, as he talked. “You thought that would make it so Mori didn’t suspect me?” Chuuya laughed even harder, until he was howling with laughter. The irony was just so amusing. All that work from Dazai, that poor car sacrificed, only for Mori-san to suspect him anyway. It was the only time Chuuya had ever seen one of Dazai’s plans not work. The only time Dazai hadn’t been smart enough. It was enough to make Chuuya laugh so hard he felt tears appearing in his eyes.
Dazai abandoned Chuuya in the Port Mafia, leaving him with nothing but a blown up car and an irate mafia boss intent on tearing his flesh from his body. Chuuya never wants to see him again, but fate has other plans.

Summary
This was what he hated about Dazai–he talked big, but when it came down to it, Chuuya was pretty sure he had no plan. He had decided to leave the mafia in a rush of anger and emotion, taking Chuuya right down with him, and now look where they had ended up–a shitty apartment in Musutafu, signed up to be unqualified bodyguards. It was an almost laughable situation, but this was life, this was Chuuya’s life, and he wasn’t sure what it would become anymore.
He hoped that was a good thing.
Or: Chuuya and Dazai both leave the Port Mafia together, and in order to get away from Mori they both get a job working as undercover bodyguards for Class 1-A at U.A. high school.
