It would have been easy to ignore, only that Duncan was also made to undress him, help him to his bath, and lift his naked boy from the copper tub, all while the tips of his ears flamed hotly and his eyes desperately looked anywhere but at the prince's bare body. He had a duty to care, to protect, and Duncan would see to it, even when Baelor's needs, brought by injuries that Duncan was to blame for, dragged him down an increasingly uncomfortable and strange path.
Duncan is asked to fulfill his vow to Prince Baelor as his caretaker at Ashford, while the Prince is recovering from his wounds. He slowly comes to find that the honour-bound relationship with his sworn liege Lord is not what he had innocently dreamed of once.

This is a plot focused story with heavy, feral open door romance and some soft moments to balance out a fraction of the trauma this fic will entail. Consider it a fast burn in terms of smut but a slow, slow burn for a true relationship, similar to the game. This story will also contain original character party members. I know this may not be everyone's cup of tea in a fic, but as a long time player of DnD my love of character creation and the weaving of their stories simply must be sated.

"And why are you doing that?" Lohen frowns some. Varka is just one of those people he thinks he'll never really understand. Again, an enigma. Shouldn't he be pushing Lohen out the door right now? Ordering him to get medical attention (not that he'd listen, even if he did)?
"Because you're refusing to see a medic," Varka answers, simple and to the point. "It's my job as the Grand Master to make sure my knights are in top shape and taken care of."
"I don't recall personally tending to your subordinate's scrapes being a part of your job description."
