The Curtis family has been a broken shard of what they used to be ever since the accident. Darry and Sodapop had stood over three grave markers at the funeral: two caskets holding the crushed bodies of their parents beside an empty nameplate labelled Ponyboy Curtis. It's been four years since he went missing from the scene of the railroad track. The case has been cold for just as long, and nearly everyone in Tulsa has lost hope of seeing the baby Curtis brother's face again.
His gang has never lost faith, though, and it proves its worth on the Friday afternoon that Ponyboy Curtis, in all his presumed-dead glory, knocks on the front door like he's not allowed to simply walk in.

The Outsiders if Dallas Winston had a sister. This will be diverging from canon very often.
Raelynn Winston was born just outside of New York City on March 21, 1950, where she spent her early years. When she was 9, her parents (John and Stacy Winston),brother (Dallas Winston), and her moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, when they fell into poverty. Stacy took a job in construction when she fell off a ladder from a four story building and died on spot in 1961, when Raelynn was 12. Her father disappeared and her brother raised her until he died in 1965 from a police shooting later discovered to be tied to a gang. No further reported evidence of Raelynn’s whereabouts were recorded until 1983 when she married landlord Todd Stewart in New Orleans, then suddenly divorcing him prior to her death in 1990. Her body was found by a mailman on September 27, 1990. Raelynn was 41 years old. Her (ex)husband inherited what money she had and no funeral service was held in her honor. She is burred in Tulsa with her brother. She will missed by all whose hearts she touched.
