Summary
The Maxim was sent to the relatively unexplored planet A-11Z to investigate unusual transmissions coming from it, only to be struck with unexpected space debris when they entered orbit, forcing the crew to desperately evacuate the ship.
Randall Koch, nothing more than an ensign, survives the life pod landing, and with the others from the pod, links up with other survivors near the ship's crash site. By all accounts, everyone made if off the ship... but not everyone has returned.
Making camp, the crew sets about scavenging what they can from the ship to prepare for long-term survival... but Randall soon discovers he and his crew are not alone on A-11Z...
What follows is Randall's desperate attempt to survive the unfolding metallic nightmare.

“Keith,” he called out again, louder now. “Keith, —”
Keith stirred weakly.
A broken sound left his throat, somewhere between a groan and a breath. His head rolled slightly toward Lance, eyes fluttering open for half a second before slipping shut again. He was being half-dragged, half-carried by the Galran guards as he slipped in and out of consciousness. The blood dripped down from the wound on his head, past his eye and down to his chin.
Lance decided that he would do whatever he had to do to keep them together. They cannot get separated. Keith needs him. He can’t lose Keith.
“That’s it,” Lance said, voice shaking. “That’s it, okay? You’re doing great. Just—just keep breathing.”
Keith and Lance end up stranded on a planet after a mission goes wrong.
But that's only where their troubles begin.
Captured and tortured relentlessly, Keith finds something out about himself that shocks him to his core.
Terrified and delirious, Lance doesn't take it too well.

Chiaki found it hard to open his eyes. He was face down on the ground. He was in pain. Blinking his eyes open he saw Shinobu lying unconscious on the ground in front of him. He reached his arm out to try and grab Shinobu as he saw the small boy being picked up.
He looked up further to see Shinobu being held by a man in only a loincloth and covered in red. He tried to crawl forward, the man looking him in the eye before turning around and walking away and taking Yellow with him.
Chiaki passed out from the pain. -
