Background:Tristan was banished and stripped of his runes after being framed by Hodge to take the fall for him after doing something highly illegal for Valentine. Once Tristan recovered from his injuries he then joined the US Navy the day he turned 17 and forged parental signatures. Fast forward to 21 years old he’s apart of DEVGRU and joined one of the most recognised Spec Ops teams in the world.
Alec getting an alert that Shadowhunter secrecy is under threat and sending a small 4 man team from their Secrecy Devision to investigate where they find the SEAL Team has detained a possessed mundane. Tristan being kidnapped by the Secrecy Divison (as he’s the Rookie and still finding his place on the Team) and interrogated. Bravo finding out their Rookie is missing and searching for him.
The Secrecy Divison Team relaying that they it’s a possessed mundane and they have a member of the Team in custody to Alec. Alec approving the interrogation.
Alec and his trusted team of 3 other Shadowhunters (Mark, Reyna and Matti) are Portalled by Magnus to the location of the Interrogation to meet up with the Secrecy Division where Alec recognisies a now extensively beaten and wounded Tristan (his twin brother).

Clay doesn’t register anything else before pain erupts in his chest, hot and sharp and blinding. His body crumples in on itself in a frightening, scary and familiar way, as his vision blurs and he understands he’s been shot. His mind shatters, fragments of understanding being pieced together, but the line blurs – one second, he’s in the shop, then he closes his eyes as he’s in Afghanistan or some other country, staring at the dusty sky. Consciousness slips away from him in bursts, his control over his body slimming as time passes. He tries to move his body, to get his arms to drag him to safety. But nothing happens.

He’s been shot.

His head is all over the place, emotions swirling around that don’t even feel like his, making him feel things that he doesn’t even understand. It’s had him off kilter and despite how hard he tries, he can’t keep Raqqa inside the box he's stuffed him in.
Clay is telling him to send it, he has the shot he needs to take it because if he doesn’t, and this man gets away, then Ray is the reason that they don’t successfully decapitate the heads of the Las Sombras cartel.
Then Ray’s own ability to operate is going to be questioned even more, then Bravo is going to be responsible for another bad op and they’re not going to have a team for Jason to come back to.

Jason’s foot catches, or maybe Ray pushed him from behind, but he ends up on his knees going to his stomach.
He looks up and Clay is still standing.
