He first realises he's made a mistake when some sort of gas immediately erupts from within the plant, like a dust cloud except it's the type of blue you'd see on a deadly frog back home. Some colours are so unnatural that something in you instinctually knows to stay away. Yet here he is, inhaling a lungful like a drunk girl hitting her elf bar at a party. Perfect.
Though he stumbles away from the offending plant, dragging his shirt up and over his nose, the dizzying spinning of his head tells him with no uncertainty that it's too late. Whatever this plant does, the effects are already beginning to set in. Shit. Shit shit shit. He closes his eyes and tries to think past the tilting of the world - what should he do?
