Summary
Doctor Venus of Fireball XL5 was many things. Born in the ruins of Paris and soon after orphaned or abandoned. Found and raised by Doctor Victor Crabtree. She has a PHD in Biology, Space Medicine and Space Psychology. Medical adviser on the Fireball class design team. She has smiled through multiple kidnappings and seen the horrors of the Space War and the misunderstandings which caused it. But now she faces her greatest threat to date. For something new has arrived, something like her, born of nuclear war, but unlike her it has had all the compassion and hope stripped from it. It is utterly inhumane and cruel in its disdain for all life.
