Summary
It's been some time since Doctor Finley's first fall serving the small town of Porcupine, and all those horrible, traumatic events. And though life has for the most part moved on, with all the usual stresses and exhaustions, the pain of that time is never far from the surface.
One warm summer night, after a long day and yet another failure to ensure the town's health is never in peril the same way again, Finley and his best friend on the staff at St. Ursula's, Mia, go to de-stress over a game of hoops. There, hot and sweaty and emotionally vulnerable, the two friends discover a new, raw, carnal intimacy.
