My first hate-fuck with the TV series when I realized just how angry I've been about the exclusion of Clarice Starling and the giving away of her character's words and thoughts and actions and even bits of her story (on my side of the screen, I'm throwing the writers a surround sound of my middle fingers). She's the most actualized female character that I've had the pleasure of reading, and... this year, I let myself get a little mad about it while quarantined with not much to do but think and read.

Before the Vanillian came and create the Creme Republic, there was a legend about a crab called 'Coconut Crab' in the Lower City. The Crab got it name because according to legend, a crab crack open a mythical coconut and eat it and gain eternal life and incredible strength. The salty dough cookies always pray to the crab so that it won't attack their ship or even on land and this tradition is preserved to this day.
The cookies from the Upper City think it's just a folktale and fake. That is until the 'Coconut Crab' finally arised from it slumber.
(A real life coconut crab, one of the largest crab in the world got lost in the Creme Republic and chaos ensure)
