Summary
Techno is no stranger to being sick and hurt. It doesn’t necessarily get easier with time, everything still hurts the same amount and feels just as cruddy, but at some point he starts getting annoyed more than afraid.
The doctors don’t care. They get their results in the end. His DNA is the special part about him, after all. Him being a human being with emotions and pain receptors is just an occupational hazard.
Things are different at Phil’s house.
The attention he gets when he's sick or hurt is nice though.

Unfortunately, there's not much sympathy when someone seen only as dollar signs and brand deals gets sick. Techno can't hurt his career over something so triflesome as illness! He can push through it, he's sure. Others don't quite agree with him, or his manager.

Techno is, in a general sense, pretty good at dealing with being sick.
Somehow a sniffle or cough just doesn’t hit the same way after he spent weeks of his childhood with a plastic tube down his throat, breathing for him and all the lovely junk that comes with that. So, even though Techno will complain for days anytime he has an essay or exam—because sometimes complaining just feels good—he’s pretty strong when it comes to being sick.
His high tolerance for sickness is put to the test by the flu, of all things.
