Summary
Ilya closes his eyes.
He blinks back his tears. He wants to nod or shake his head or something, but he can't.
This can't be happening.
He blinks and blinks and blinks again but he's still in the hospital and he still feels like shit and his mom is dead and Shane is far away and he thinks he's depressed and there is something inside of him that he doesn't know what to do with.
Fuck, he thinks, in russian and in english and in french, even. Fuck.Or, in 2020, Ilya has a (very) unplanned, (very) complicated pregnancy, Shane has to learn that sometimes things don't work out the way he planned, and some other things. Set in The Long Game, kind of.

Summary
There was nothing Ilya loved more than fucking Shane Hollander – except, as he’d finally said out loud, maybe Shane Hollander himself.
The time at the cottage was perfect – more than perfect. Lifechanging. Universe-shifting. He had a boyfriend. A family. Everything he’d ever wanted – except that now it was time to go home, and deal with the one thing he still didn’t want to talk about.
His heat.
His disgusting, miserable, painful heat – that he would handle alone. Like he always did. But then Shane was asking him why, and that was the question, wasn’t it? Why, why, why?

Summary
The teasing tone of his voice should be enough to convince Shane he is okay. He's inconvenienced Shane enough, it was time to manage his problems on his own. He can mask whatever is going on with him today, deal with it, and be better tomorrow.
He just has to make it to tomorrow.
His husband, unfortunately, has other plans. "We actually finished early. I'm gonna come back today instead of two days from now. I have a flight in two hours, so I should be home by evening."
The panic hits Ilya almost instantly. Evening is too soon, he thinks, I'll still be like this by evening. Shane is going to deal with my mess again. He won't even have time to rest from his flight. I can't be seen like this. I can't do this to him. I can't let someone else deal with my problems. I can't let someone else come home to this.
I'm just like my mother.

Summary
When a poorly timed phone call and an open window leads Shane's parents to a massive misunderstanding, he's stuck pretending he's still dating Rose. Which works fine for a month, until Ilya's jealousy starts to flare and Shane's parents witness a fight entirely different from the one they have on the ice.

"See? Shane's probably just in the kitchen,” Yuna murmured softly, putting her purse down on the side table beside the door. “Maybe he’s—”“Okay, you were maybe telling me the truth,” a voice suddenly called, cutting her off before she could finish her sentence. “At least partially.”
Yuna frowned, the deep, accented voice catching her off guard. Before she could piece together where she recognized the voice from, though, she saw Ilya Rozanov walking through her son’s apartment. He was barefoot, his hair slightly damp and his clothes casual. Sweatpants and a white T-shirt that clung to him after a shower.
From the kitchen, David heard his sons’ voice ring out, too. “What do you mean partially?” Shane responded, gesturing at his phone as Ilya showed him something on it. “That’s exactly what I told you.”
