Summary
Ivriniel, firstborn daughter of Adrahil II, the twenty-first Prince of Dol Amroth, has been promised to Denethor, son of the Steward of Gondor—a match that would secure alliances and satisfy the ambitions of great men. Her sharp tongue and unguarded manner grate against Denethor’s pride, and she is eager to escape the gilded cage of duty closing around her.
Thalion is a blacksmith of no particular consequence, burdened with a personal mission that leaves little room for anything beyond the daily grind of survival. Then he meets Ivriniel, and everything changes.
