I read the Uma!Tanya story, and thought it would be funny if Mary was an Uma too. I'll probably write 3 chapters and then call it quits.

Chapter 1: A Dead Horse

Chapter Text

For some reason, Mary Sue found herself surprised by how much fire there was, even though she had started it. As she floated over the burning remains of an Imperial camp, she scanned for survivors attempting to flee the inferno. After her many failures to slay that vile Devil, her superiors had found a better use for her blessed strength, surprise attacks. Intelligence reports had claimed that this camp was the current den of the Devil and her lackeys. When she had first learnt of the location, she nearly flew off immediately until Colonel Drake stopped her and told her the plan.

'My head still hurts from his chop,' the brunette thought, idly rubbing her forehead.

Under the cover of nightfall, she and Colonel Drake had flown up high enough that the air got thin and freezing. Then they traveled until they were directly above the enemy encampment. Finally the easy part, let gravity claim them. The pair had dropped down, quickly gaining speed until they could see the lights of the camp. As soon as it was in sight, Drake had started casting his flight formula. Mary however, had a more effective way to slow herself. Without a warning, she started releasing blast after blast at the tents and buildings below, even as alarms started to blare and gunfire began to race towards the duo, which for some reason caused Drake to start cursing.

But the camp could not withstand her assault for long. Nothing could, except her target, the Devil of the Rhine. As she now hovered over the camp, Mary found herself surprised with the aftermath of her righteous fury. She floated silently for a while, simply surveying the inferno while Colonel Drake yelled into a radio, until she heard the sharp crack of a gunshot. Instinctively she summoned her barrier, her intuition proven right when a bullet bounced off it. Spinning around, she spotted an Imperial with a ponytail and an unfortunately horse-like face. As the embodiment of vengeance summoned on of her lasers, a choking noise from beside her caught her attention. Turning around, Mary found Colonel Drake holding his throat as blood slowly pumped out of it. As she watched, his face got paler and paler, until he stiffened and simply dropped to the ground.

Dumbstruck at the sudden death of a friend, Mary's eyes followed his fall until he splattered at the feet of a stout Imperial who was... who was aiMING AT HER!

Once again, the strongest mage of the Allies once again summoned her barrier in time to catch the bullets aimed at her. But when she started charging a magical blast, more gunfire began raining on her from all sides. Whirling around, she saw a blond man who looked terrified, a seemingly drunk man with bushy eyebrows, and a brunette with fishlike eyes. Taking in her situation appeared to be the wrong move, as she heard a cracking sound before she felt her shield cracking. Whipping around to see who was attacking her, Mary found herself face to face with her destined foe. The brunette didn't bother trying to shoot the little Devil, instead opting for a simple headbutt which sent the smaller girl flying away for a distance and shattered the rest of her barrier. Noticing the blonde hold her head in pain, Mary allowed herself a smug grin at her minor victory.

BAM.

Looking down revealed that Mary's left leg had just been blown off. Still flying through the pain somehow, the heavenly warrior scanned for the opponent who had maimed her. And what she saw only fanned the righteous flames in her heart. That girl with fish eyes had dared harm her with her father's own gun! Launching herself towards the ugly menace, Mary ignored the other Imperials bullets and managed to wrap her fist around the girl's throat, before something slammed into her side and knocked her off. Skidding across the rubble, she looked up only to see a shovel racing towards her head. The embodiment of holy wrath tried lifting her arms to block, but for some reason her body wasn't moving as fast as it should.

Crack.

The impact left Mary dazed, so hopefully she could be excused for dropping like a sack of potatoes. As her life slowly oozed away like the blood from her wounds, Mary found herself unable to hold focus on the Imperial's discussion as they met next to her. "What are the casualties...Damn...we need to...before more...follow this idiot...the fire is.......

Slowly, the Imperials fled, leaving Mary behind in the charred ruins of the base as her eyesight started failing her. Soon all her eyes could focus on was the fires caused by her lasers as it slowly inched closer and closer to her. And despite how much she urged her body, she couldn't escape death. The death of her father, an ordinary man, had lit an inferno of vengeance in Mary's heart, and her defeat had left it with nothing to burn but the dead and dying. In the end, Mary, the most powerful mage of her world, died in the fire started by her wrath.

"Waaaah!" A baby girl cried out, as if heralding the trouble she would bring to this new world. "Congratulations Mrs. Sioux! It's a girl! With quite a healthy set of lungs too."
