Chapter Text
A long time ago in a galaxy far far away
Star Wars Episode
5 Lelouch of the Re:Bellion
It is a dark time for the
Rebellion. Although the Death
Star has been destroyed by them,
Imperial troops have driven the
Rebel forces from Yavin 4 scattering our heroes all across the stars.
The evil lord Darth Vader who is completely obsessed with finding Luke Skywalker has sent a massive fleet of Star destroyers to hunt down the Last Jedi.
Even now Luke and his allies are onboard the Millennium Falcon. They fly towards the edge of the galaxy hoping to escape Vader’s merciless pursuit for better or for worse….
(Year 2017/3 ABY 3 years after the battle of Yavin)
The edge of the galaxy was quiet as if nothing could ruin it. That is until the emergence of a massive star destroyer fleet broke the silence. Dozens of Tie fighters are flying out of the mother ship and are chasing after the Millenium falcon. The crew on the Tie’s told to capture the crew alive.
Han Solo, the captain of the Falcon, was struggling to keep the fighters off his tail while also avoiding deadly blaster fire from the Star Destroyers. He made a swerve of the controls to avoid another green laser blast from the destroyer. "Damn it!" He grunted.
Luke came over to his friend and said “Han you have to get us outta here!”
Han said back “What do you think I've been doing Luke? Making Wookiee cookies for Chewie?!” He pushed random buttons on the console, hoping one of them would help.
Then came a roar from Chewbacca, the wookie, who was Han's best friend and first mate.
"What is it, Chewie?" Princess Leia Organa asked from behind Han's seat.
Coming out from hyperspace and stopping right next to the Devastator was yet another star destroyer, this one with the Tyrant painted on the side.
"Oh, just perfect! Another star destroyer joining the chase!" Luke cried out.
Soon after the Tyrant had appeared next to the Devastator, another star destroyer called the Avenger, appeared on the other side.
"This is bad," Leia shook her head. "Really, really, bad."
"Okay I’m gonna say it, these guys are obsessed about capturing us," Han murmured. "And for them to chase us across half the sector… it'll be hard to turn and evade without getting caught in their tractor beams."
Luke nodded, then turned his head as he felt a presence he hadn’t felt in a while.
Onboard the Deveastor the doors opened up to reveal a tall, dark warrior clad from head to toe in black armour and cape. His mask is shaped to be devoid of any emotion. And there was the deep sound of his breathing—that even echoed throughout the whole bridge. It was none other than Darth Vader. The Dark Lord of the Sith walked onto the bridge as some of the imperial officers saluted him. Vader’s breathing quickened. He had his foes right where he wanted them. Very soon he will have them.
His desire to capture this vessel and its crew was because of a very special individual. Vader had been obsessed with finding him ever since he learned his name from a bounty hunter.
“Lord Vader!” Captain Piett came over and said “We have the target right where we want them. There’s no way for them to run now!”
Vader then said “Very good Captain…” The dark lord turned to another imperial captain. "Captain Ronnadam."
"Yes, Lord Vader?" The captain asked while having his back stiff in front of the dark lord.
Vader pointed to Ronnadam making his order clear as day “Send a squadron of Tie fighters to draw them in. I want that ship in the docking bay and everyone aboard delivered to me alive—and unharmed."
Ronnadam nodded and said “It will be done my lord. I shall give word to the Lieutenant Commander and her squadron to intercept," Ronnadam nodded and marched away.
Lord Vader looked back at the screen. The Millennium Falcon within their sights. Using the Devastator was tactical in his pursuit of Skywalker. After learning the name of rebel through Bobba, he took command of this outdated flagship in order not to alert the Rebels' presence with his new Super-Star Destroyer, the Executor. He did not want Skywalker to know he was closing in on him. The boy had been getting good at evading him recently.
But not this time!
Now they managed to chase the Falcon down at the very edge between their galaxy and the unknown.
He will finally get his hands on Skywalker right here and now. Very soon he would have what he desired….
Down in the Devastators hanger bay several pilots rushed to their tie fighters. One of them was Lieutenant commander Ciena Rhee. As she flicked some switches, her TIE fighter came to life.
“Alright engines torpedoes at the ready, all systems good and green!” She said as she adjusted some of the TIE Fighters controls. Turning her com to ALL, chatter from the other pilots flooded her ears.. "Yo Nash? Berisse? You guys ready to bring the party to the rebels?”
“ Ciena !" A male voice exclaimed. " What happened to using my first name? I'm a lieutenant! Remember?" The now identified Ciena, had a cheeky grin.
Another female pilot sent across the comms "You just called the Lieutenant Commander by her first name, Windrider…You in trooooubble"
"Berisse!"
Lieutenant commander Ciena Rhee just chuckled at this, enjoying her time with her closest friends, before saying. "All right guys, that's enough." Her face turned serious. "We have a mission! It is time to intercept the objective."
"Affirmative." Both lieutenants Nash Windrider and Berisse Sai confirmed.
Before long, their TIEs lifted from the floor and flew from the hangar to join the other squadron of TIEs ready to intercept the enemy.
The lieutenant commander took one more look at her left wrist; tied around it was the leather bracelet. The symbol and memento she carried all her life that connected her to the twin sister she never knew. She always looked at it before she went into battle. She took a deep breath and thought in her mind
This one’s for you Wynnet!
She then took off in her tie fighter as it flew out of the hanger bay
Luke growls and says seeing the ties emerge from the hangers of the destroyer’s. “Oh great more TIE’s!”
Han snapped. “I can see that kid!”
Han muttered as he swerved the controls and had the Falcon steer away from the incoming TIE fighters.
"We need to lightspeed out of here now!" Luke yelled.
"No we can't!" Leia however said. "With those star destroyers surrounding us—we'll risk getting caught in the tractor beam!"
Chewbacca roared in frustration at his agreement with Leia. 3PO then said panicking “Oh we’re doomed!”
Leia and Luke shouted knowing this wasn't a good time. “Threepo!”
The last thing they needed was preparing for the worst.
BANG!
The Falcon shook. "The hell was that?!" Leia exclaimed. "Was that the back?" Luke asked, worried.
Chewie barked at Han. Their eyes both widened coming to the same conclusion together "The engines!" Han scrambled back the controls “They’re going for the engines!”
“YEAH! Nice shot, Ciena!" Nash said through the comms.
"Yeah but please be careful with the merchandise!" Berisse warned. " Our orders were to capture them alive!"
"I know that!" Ciena gritted her teeth, and she glared again at the freighter just ahead of her. The Millennium Falcon. The Falcon had been responsible for smuggling the stolen plans of the Death Star to the Rebellion. It was even there to help the Rebels obliterate the Death Star. Killing millions onboard in an instant.
Jude . Ciena cringed at the memory of her best friend who was killed onboard the Death Star.
Ciena shook her head and focused again on the rebel ship before her. Thinking to herself, ‘We'll capture that scrap bucket and we'll bring them to justice for what they’ve done to Jude.’
She hovered her TIE Fighter above and dove briefly to fire a pair of green laser fire that made another hit on the blue gleaming engine that covered the Falcon's rear.
“Han, they're all over us!” Luke said in a panic. As Han stood he shouted “Take the wheel kid!” Han got out of the pilot seat and ran through the doorway.
“Where are you going, laser brain!?” Leia shouted
Han ran into the cupboard on the first level of the Falcon and kicked open a chest. A green glow emitted from a canister. Thank you Bantu, murmured Han as he reached for the canister.
Flashback Bantu
“Ah Captain Solo, one of my top 3 clients, I got something you would love to have!” A man at a workshop said to Han and Leia
Han smirked and said “And that is?”
The man chuckled as he showed a canister with a golden crystal inside the green substance surrounding it and said “Synthetic Coaxium, it’s so powerful it can disable enemies' ships and flagships. It’s so very powerful, some say High Republic era!”
Leia then said suspiciously as if this was gonna cost a lot of credits. “How much for it?”
The man chuckled to Leia and said. “Free of charge. Anyone fighting the Empire is a friend of mine!” He handed the glowing canisters of the fuel to Han. The man said, acting serious
“But listen to me very carefully! If you do use it there’s something I have to warn you about, something that you must never ever do!” Han nodded, however was distracted as he looked at the synthetic Coxium with wonder. It looked like a one of a kind find. Leia’s mind was on why she had never heard of this kind of coaxium in the Galaxy
The man said “Hey did you both hear what I said about travelling to another side of our universe?!” Han Solo said not bothering to care “Huh yeah sure thing!”
Flashback ends
Han had a determined look and then nodded as he ran back into the control room. He took his seat as he placed the Synthetic coaxium into the ships controls.
“Han is that?” Leia said with fear in her voice. Han said nodding to her .“Yep! Trust me Princess I got a plan!”
Leia, eager to hear what the plan was and if it involved the powerful hyperspace fuel from a bygone era. “And that plan is?”
Han pointed to a small spot in the dark sky. He placed the Synthetic coaxium into the ships fuel and said. “The one direction that isn't blocked by destroyers. That will be our target!"
"Through there?!" Luke said, appalled. "Han don’t you realise that is the border! Right?!"
"Well, we're about to have company, and not the friendly kind!" Leia exclaimed to Luke.
"C-Captain Solo! You can't be serious!" Threepio exclaimed in horror and worry. "Very few to none listed have travelled beyond the limits of the galaxy. None have ever returned to tell the tale! The chances of light speeding into unknown territory using an ancient type of hyperdrive fuel and coming back are 310,732 to—"
“NEVER TELL ME THE ODDS!” Han shouted at the protocol droid, not wanting to hear it. He set the final preparations and was ready for action. He looked at everyone in the cockpit, hoping to the core that he was making the right decision. "All right, this is it! All or nothing baby!"
Then there came the incoming screams of the TIE Fighters again.
“PUNCH IT NOW, HAN!" Leia shouted.
Without a second to waste Han pulled down on the lever. This single move ignited the hyperdrive. A golden light began to shine from the engines. A second later the stars flashed around them. The Millennium Falcon lightspeed out of the galaxy, leaving a small trail of bright blue electricity behind the ship, zapping all the TIE’s, leaving them disabled in space. As some of them crashed into each other as they were destroyed.
Ciena yelled as she slammed her control panel in outrage, damaging the console. She was so close to getting vengeance on the rebels. She growled with frustration, one way or another she will make them pay.
The crew onboard the Devastator were all speechless that the Millennium Falcon had just vanished from sight.
They all saw the Corellian cargo freighter do the unthinkable.
They just had the ship right where they wanted them. They had all seen the blue electric trail it left behind. The Devasters computer told the crew through their screens that synthetic coxium was detected where the Millennium Falcon used to be.
The plan they had made was fool proof, but it fell apart all thanks to the synthetic coxium.
Normally Piett and the other officers would have been furious—but how could they when the dark lord before them looked as though he was about to explode with enough power to destroy the planet Alderaan ten times over.
Vader was shaking as fury overwhelmed his body. Months of planning to capture Skywalker all for nothing! The front decks glass began to crack, making some of the officers yelp in worry and in fear.
As an imperial officer said in complete shock at what happened as he saw the enemy fighter ship glow gold and jumped to lightspeed. “Holy shit!”
Vader then said as he had now claimed down. “Order the TIE Fighters back at once," Vader said, trying to hold back his anger. "I want the coordinates to where the Falcon went. NOW."
An imperial officer then said to the Sith Lord. “M-my lord it’s impossible to do that…”
Vader turned his body in anger towards the officer and said trying to hold back his rage and anger “What?”
The officer was shaking in complete fear, his voice shaking as he showed a hologram of the synthetic hyper fuel, “T-they just used synthetic coaxium, one of the rarest hyper-space fuels in galactic history dating back to the High republic era and there’s no way to track them as it is-“
Vader, completely losing his patience, used the force to choke the officer.
“Then I want to know NOW how those rebels came into possession of it. High Alert! Inform all of the imperial forces across the whole galaxy to track the person who managed to create it. I don't care how long it takes!”
The officer was struggling for air, said in a high pitched voice due to being choked to death by the force. “B-but there’s no way they could have survived the jump beyond the galaxy my lord. I think they’re most likely-“ Until he was silenced by Vader through the force choke.
Vader tossed the corpse aside and demanded of all his forces. “TEAR THIS GALAXY FIND THE PERSON WHO CREATED THIS VERY RARE HYPERSPACE FUEL! BRING HIM TO ME! I WANT THEM ALIVE!”
Vader then turned his attention to the other problem. “I WANT THAT SHIP! No matter the cost I will have that shop if it’s the last thing I do!” Vader marched off the deck, the doors closed behind him.
The Millennium Falcon continued travelling at lightspeed, speeding through the stars. Lights swirling around them in a golden vortex different from the usual blue vortex of normal hyperspace.
Luke sighed in relief. “THAT was too close for comfort!” Artoo beeped in agreement Leia smiled and said. “Nice work Han!”
“Told ya I would get us outta there Princess!” Han said with a smirk. Almost immediately Han heard a beeping from the computer
“Oh great! It looks like the Synthetic coaxium is making our fuel quite hot!” Leia said to Han.
“Then deactivate light speed!” Chewie nodded in agreement as he pulled the lever down to ease the ship out of golden hyperspace. Instead of being greeted by the usual stars, something else caught their attention. It looked like they directly travelled into the middle of a very unfamiliar solar system. In front of them appeared a planet…
The planet looked so blue and white, With continents of green and gold. Threepio stated “This planet most likely is covered in water, with evaporative clouds above most parts of the planet. The shapes of green and yellow are most likely to be continents scattered across the globe. Unknown name of this planet or solar system”.
Han, Luke, Leia, and Artoo were all speeches as Leia said, not believing her eyes “We we, we have lightsped in front of another planet in another galaxy…”
Han then said with a grin. “Huh that’s odd, maybe our luck is finally turning around. Maybe we could even establish our new base here in this new galaxy! Threepio, what do you reckon? Is that air breathable?”
Luke spat out. “We have no clue if it’s hospitable or not Han!” Leia took a closer look at the planet which reminded her of Alderaan prior to being destroyed by the Death Star. Her eyes widened when she saw it.
“What’s that?” Everyone looks at where Leia is pointing and they all see an array of satellites circumnavigating the globe. Which means only one thing.
“A satellite! That means this planet is civilised!” Chewie barked in joy as Threepio said “Oh thank the maker I was really worried for a second there!”
Han flew the falcon down towards the planet. As they entered the atmosphere of this new world the engines of the Falcon spat and spluttered, the synthetic coxium having taken their toll on the engines.
Once they had entered the atmosphere of the planet on the dark side, away from the sun, making it nighttime. Below the ship was a darkened ocean.
“Han do you see anywhere to land?” Before the captain could answer Luke, the crew saw bright light in the distance. Thousands of small lights, making up a large glow, most likely a city. Everyone gave a sigh of relief
Threepio placed his hand on top of Artoos head and sighed with relief, “Artoo, can you believe it?! A city civilisation at last!”
Han then said “Now hang in there goldenrod, we’re not out of the woods yet. We have to establish contact and get permission to land! Chewie see if you can find a channel for these guys!”
As Han and Chewie flicked a few buttons, Luke turned to the astromech droid and said “Artoo locks onto any signals in the area!” Artoo beeped and connected himself to the ship's console. An antenna pooped up from his head. After a few minutes passed a voice began speaking from the console.
“Unidentified aircraft identify yourself ,I repeat identify yourselves at once!”
Han then said as he answered. “Ah yeah hi there! Look we’re sorry this is sudden but we would like to request permission to land that cool?”
“Unidentified aircraft identify yourself, I repeat identify yourselves at once! Permission to land will not be given. What kind of aircraft do you have? Who is this?!”
Han took a breath as he said. “Look, we don't want any trouble, we're trying to be nice here!” As the person on the other side asked.
“Are you from the homeland? Is your origin from another area?” Leia and Luke had confused looks on their faces as Han said, starting to act worried.
The voice over the console then said. “ You're approaching with unregistered access into area 11 of the Holy Empire of Britannia!”
At that moment everyone froze in the Falcon. A look of concern crossed Han's face, Leia’s face was a mixture of anger and confusion, Han turned to Chewie for reassurance. The sound of the word EMPIRE horrified them all. What had they all gotten themselves into.
“Unknown pilot, are you still there? Unidentified aircraft identify yourself immed--”
Han flicked off the communication button. “Boring conversation anyway. We can’t take our chances!”
Leia scanned the horizon. “Hey what’s that?” she said as she pointed at something emerging from the city at full speed towards them. It almost looked like an airship with bulker shapes connected below.
It looked like the wrong kind of welcoming party.
"I got a bad feeling about this," Han said,as he quickly flicked the communication button back to ON.
"Attention unidentified ship! In the name of Britannia and our Holy Emperor, Charles Zi Britannia—you are ordered to stand your hovercraft down! If you try to flee—you will be shot down!"
"Exactly just like an empire!" Han grumbled.
Chewie made a bark agreeing with Han.
"Holy Emperor? Charles?" Luke said. "You don't think…"
"We can't know for sure if they are affiliated with the Galactic Empire or not." Leia narrowed her eyes. "Either way, I don't think these guys take kindly to visitors."
"Yeah, that means we’ve stumbled upon another problem!" Han shouted as he boosted the Falcon's speed away from the incoming 'welcome party.'
"Stop where you are! We will shoot you down if you don’t comply!"
Chewie roared.
"Not gonna let that happen buddy!" Han said.
“OPEN FIRE!!” The airships unleashed a barrage of bullets towards the Falcon. Han’s eyes widened as he turned his ship around, skilfully avoiding the deadly fire.
“Oh my! They are attacking!” Shouted Threepio.
Luke then said. “Oh you think Threepio?!” Artoo beeped scolding his counterpart
Han didn't say a word as he focused on swerving the Falcon up in the air. The Falcon boosted higher in the air near the clouds. The chasing ships followed the Falcon into the clouds. The white clouds provided the best cover to dodge and loose the pursuers.
"Han?" Luke questioned.
"Wait for it…" Han said. He then quickly released with a flick of a switch an escape pod which floated out of the clouds towards the city. The pursuing air crafts started diving towards the pod. Chewie roared in horror at Han
"Solo! What are you doing?!" Leia exclaimed.
Han then said. “You guys trust me? Don’t ya?”
Luke was hesitant but nodded to Han who grinned, knowing that he trusted whatever plan Han had.
Han gritted his teeth at the risk he was taking. With the smaller ships focused elsewhere, Han floated the Falcon down towards a forested area, undetected by the new Empire. Soon, the Falcon started skidding against the trees, before it started kissing against the ground of the forest.
The larger airship couldn’t find where the Falcon had landed.
As a tall young man with long blue hair and green eyes, wearing white gloves on his hands, and white robes flowing around his body, scoffed. He had lost sight of the strange ship. He brought his communicator up to his face, and a holographic image of an older man with black hair, with grey wisps around his face, dressed in grey robes with purple lines stopping down the arms, appeared and said to him. “Yes Shin, did you get the Ship? Are there any survivors onboard?”
The now identified Shin Hyuga Shaing shook his head. “No master Argos it would seem we have lost sight of them!”
The hologram image looked disappointed, “Very well return to HQ where I will brief you on your next assignment!”
The man flicked off his communicator at his desk, he got up from his seat and walked away from the monitors. The man known as Argos, smirked sinisterly as he stood next to three other silhouettes hiding in the shadows. “Let the games begin!” The doors closed as he was ready to unveil his plan to the world.
Somewhere, in a top-secret location. Even though enclosed in darkness, a young woman opened her golden eyes. Somehow…she had sensed it…a sense of…arrival.
And it will change everything… forever.
