Good day, today I will be covering the fic sexy times with wangxian. The pairing of Lan zhan and Wei ying in the mdzs fandom . It is a novel series that got an animated series, game series, drama, comic, and audio drama. The novel is a popular Chinese boys love novel. According to the time I’m writing this the fandom has 69,605 works on ao3.

Begging of the fic
The fic was posted/edited in October 29th and looks pretty normal looking out side. But the author kept tagging and updating it that it became the longest fic in the fandom. It got over the novel double length and got 200 chapters. It reached to 1 million words like the Harry Potter book series.

Tags ( shiver me temper)
It is normal to tag more stuff in your work that your working on but the tags where like hope, cats, washing machine, and pizza. The average tag for a fic is 17. Remember that when that tag is added to the work, it is appears in the tag search, then you get consent stream of tags in that work, and this is happening per tag by the way. This fic was able to reach a lot in it hay day and this fic was marked as complete although the author kept it in a work in progress and adding chapters to it. It basically screw everybody over for searching and pop up in everybody search bars. The tags reach 44 hundred. There were also reports of people browser freezing when this worked appeared on mobile.

{All hell breaks loose}
70 fandoms where tagged in this work. Every ship from mdzs was tagged in this fic. Even characters and ships outside from the fandom was tagged in this fic. Reader weren’t happy for obvious reason. The fic was destroying ao3 functionality because of it tags. people even created skins to avoid this fic because it was so bad. People tried to report this fanfic that after certain amount of times you couldn’t report it more. The fic also spawned in coy cats fics for kicks and to troll people or force ao3 hand to either to start enforcing tag limits. Some authors put their works in the tags and somebody put the great gatsby in the tags. There was a push back parody fic called bland times with wangxian, that used minimal tagging and was multiple authors and fed up with sexy times with wangxian. The quality of the fic was mixed with reader liking the smut or are horrified by the smut, or called the smut beginner. The plot thickens, sexy times with wangxian was hidden for a month in February 2021 after the author got in trouble with ao3 terms of service because they said wished for all the people where mad at them in the comments or bashing them will died of covid. The author came back in April and started swinging. The author started spite tagging and comments where decibel and will not remove the tags or split the work up or mark it as incomplete. The title of the fic kept changing and was just full of slurs. 74 fandom ended up getting tagged in this mess for “cross over reason”. You can not except this fic, it reached over most of internet, no matter what fandom you were in. Then the fic was officially deleted off of ao3 on may 31st 2021 for unknown reasons.

The author response according to coley video was it not my fault, this is how I like to tag blame ao3 for the buggy website and then they say that I’m technically following ao3 rules I’m not doing anything wrong.

The maximum number of tags is allowed on ao3 is 75 tag’s because of sexy times with wangxian. It even made it on to facebook. The author has left ao3 for good and when you check their profile you see them talking in 3rd person and making blaming their actions on comments or the people bashing them. This was a fun thing to do research about and post it on ao3. I hope you enjoy this and have a good day:)
