   Summary

   Simon is trapped in a submarine, surrounded by an ocean of blood, waiting to die. Ryland Grace is alone in deep space, trying to save humanity.
   One day Grace intercepts Simon's impossible distress call and they both realize that their worlds make absolutely no sense. 
   The signal is instant, their memories are glitched, and time keeps resetting. 

   The truth terrifying: they aren't in space, and there is no ocean. They are trapped in simulation pods inside a massive, dying generation ship that is drifting in the dark.

   Summary

   The Blood Eel only knows pain and isolation in its world. Others have come searching for answers, only to learn in the end that death is the only one that matters. But then it meets Simon. As it unmakes him it catches a glimpse of something its never seen before, Happiness. It wants to learn about it, yet Simon doesn't know it. It goes to throw him away, but then he utters a prayer.

   Hail Mary, full of Grace

   The Blood Eel searches the cosmos and comes across The Hail Mary, occupied by Ryland Grace, and it decides this is what Simon was asking for. So it obliges.

   What follows is the story of two lost souls coming together in a cosmic event, learning together to live, to love, to be happy. All while The Blood Eel looks on, insuring it continues to learn, one way or another.
