Summary
Jay lifts his head, staring down at him, running his hands over Matt’s clothed chest. “Hi,” he smiles.
“Hi,” Matt curls his fingers in his hair, blinking up at him. His greys are really coming in now, lightening up those dark sideburns. The ones on his chin drive Matt crazy. He’s getting older. They both are. One minute, they’re moving into an apartment on Queen Street West. The next they have a house, they have a life together.
“I’m nervous,” Jay lets out a lilting laugh.
The fear on his face is a familiar one. Do you really think we should do this, Matt? or I don’t know, I’m not sure about this one.
“What for?” Matt asks, as if he isn’t nervous too. He can’t let Jay know. Besides, he’s always braver when he knows that Jay is scared. He pushes everything forward. For the both of them. “It’s me.”
Jay takes that in. “Yeah,” he nods, the furrow between his brow meaning he’s actually thinking, processing his agreement. “It’s you.”

After everything, Matt and Jay have sex.
