There’s a field trip. A fucking field trip, to Stark Industries, where Peter has had a fake internship for half a year now, and everything that Peter has been pretending is about to go up in smoke, because Mr. Stark hasn’t been speaking to him for ages—
Ned is ecstatic. “We’re gonna get to see your internship,” he crows, excitement brighter than Sirius in the sky.
Flash is laughing. “We’re gonna get to watch Penis Parker faceplant when we all see, once and for all, that he’s lying about that internship of his."
MJ is flipping Flash the bird, and Betty is scribbling away in her notebook for the newspaper, and Mr. Harrington is pulling Peter aside when the bell rings to say that he’s heard the rumors, Peter, and it doesn’t do good to the school’s reputation to lie about an internship when they’re in Stark Industries, and the building is collapsing again, concrete dust filling Peter’s lungs, and he can’t do this. Not this afternoon. Not the blindingly yellow field trip permission slip, not talking to Aunt May about getting permission to go to a building that he's supposed to have been going to for months, not the possibility of happening to cross paths with the superhero that took away his suit.

Roseanne's gaze flickers to Peter fleetingly before returning to his teachers. "Oh. Well, Peter is one of our senior interns." Peter blinks. Senior intern? He didn't know that. He's only eighteen; why the hell is he a senior intern already? "Only a few people hold that position. Peter, since he's a student as well, was advised not to carry his badge, so I keep it with me for him to grab once he gets here."
The entire class goes silent.

Summary
Peter’s AcaDec team goes on a field trip to Stark Industries, and multiple students realize that Peter isn’t the quiet nobody that they thought he was. It may take some conversations with employees and Peter saving them from an attack, but they realize it eventually.
This is a 5+1 combined with field trip fic, shown from 5 of Peter’s teammates perspective and one from his. I’ve also had all the chapters typed out beforehand but I’m posting them at once because I hate cliffhangers/unfinished works.

“It doesn’t make sense for me to go, dude,” Peter elaborated, watching as Mr Harrington placed stacks of permission slips on the desks at the very front, his classmates taking one and then passing the stack back. “I’m there every day, it’s just going to be some of the stuff I get to see all the time. I’ll be a Debby Downer—you’ll have much more fun without me.”
“I always forget that you can just like, walk around there whenever you want,” Ned mumbled, grabbing one of the permission slips off the stack and standing up to walk the remainder back to Mr Harrington, Peter following closely behind.

Midtown's field trip to SI, but Peter sits this one out to stay home and make rounds in the lab. Of course, absolutely nothing goes to his plan.
