Summary

“I saw that they finally tuned the community piano here.” Frank mentions, picking at his nailbeds.
“Do you like to play, Frank?” Sheila asks, clicking open her pen.
“Used to. Used to like a lot of things.” He sighs out heavily.
“Expand on that, why’d you stop?” Sheila pushes more.
“Started at age 4, barely could reach all the keys but I loved it. Thought I could make it big. Broadway or something. It was my dream; medicine was dad’s dream. I eventually liked that dream too, guess things don’t work out. Dreams and all that mushy stuff.” Frank huffs out, not knowing why.

"Okay, I love you, bye." The new clarinetist - Mel - said, before hanging up. She then sighed, and sat down on the front steps, resting her elbows on her knees and cupping her face. Frank put the cigarette away, and wondered what his first words should be to her. Something about how she was really fantastic, and she shouldn't beat herself up, and she sounded great during her parts and had nothing to worry about.
"You know, a year ago I saw a guy throw up in that exact spot you're in. So I wouldn't sit there."
