Summary
“Ten thousand,” Dokja calls, when relative silence descends on the crowd. Hushed whispers travel behind cupped hands and shifted glances; hundreds of eyes prick into his back, but he stays still. Out of all the gazes– some questioning, some hostile– he senses Yoo Joonghyuk, as stifling as a weighted blanket on the side of his face. “Ten thousand for a dinner date with Incarnation Yoo Joonghyuk.”
Yoo Joonghyuk’s eyes spark with something shadowy as their eyes meet through the crowd. A delicious shiver slithers down Dokja’s back. Slowly, painstakingly, Yoo Joonghyuk‘s eyes darken with something like anger– and somehow, that feels far more threatening than it should.
At a masquerade style constellation banquet, Dokja bids on Yoo Joonghyuk for a dinner date. It ends with an extremely awkward date, an unexpected confession, and a lot more feelings than anyone would’ve imagined.
