Summary
In a moment of fear after her encounter in the spirit world, Kyoshi runs away to a place she knows she won't be found: the Eastern Sea, just near the South Pole. As the newest member of the Fifth Nation, Kyoshi plans to keep her past behind her. Yet while Kyoshi grapples with the deaths of her loved ones, her newfound powers, and the threat of Jianzhu lurking behind her, Rangi is tasked with returning the Avatar to Yokoya. But when Rangi finds Kyoshi, she hesitates to bring her to Jianzhu and her mother. As the girls spend more time together and the fleet of pirates, they discover more about themselves and each other.

Summary
Rangi's love for Kyoshi had sparked in tiny embers as soon as their eyes first met.
It was little then. Inconsequential.
But it grew over the years--oh, how it grew.
It grew from those tiny, smoldering embers, to candlelight lighting the interior of a dark room, to a beautiful, dancing campfire, crackling cheerfully and lighting up the darkest depths of her heart.
Kyoshi was the weary traveler who had lost her way, and Rangi was the warm hearth shining in the distance--her guiding light.
And so she would gladly remain, for the rest of her life.

It was as if she had accidentally willed it into existence. Worse before better. She gently placed her hand under her firebender’s chin and lifted it to look into her eyes. Rangi’s face was flushed and sweat beaded on her forehead. She gave a half-hearted smile, but another cough broke through her facade. Kyoshi didn’t believe the act anyway.
Follows the lives of Avatar Kyoshi and Rangi after the events of The Shadow of Kyoshi.

Summary
